We saw Shen Yun in Vancouver 4/12. It was amazing and so moving from the stage to the screen inter changes were surprisingly real and added to the stories. Just lovely and colorful the performance was a special event. We want to come back next year.

The show was spectacular. The acts were performed with precision and beauty. I loved the music. It had a traditional flavor, but it was delightfully original. I was fascinated by the digital backdrop. In a world where entertainment is forced to always push limits, this show does the opposite. It restores a standard of excellence and artistry which I thought was extinct. I am eager to connect with this company again in the future.

I feel honored to have attended the 2025 live performance. This was my second time attending. It was wonderful to learn that China had a spiritual history that includes practicing meditation. People in every culture long for freedom.

I've seen your show twice. What an experience from beginning to end, a jaw-dropping performance. I purchased tickets as Christmas gifts for my daughter and granddaughter in 2018, and last year I purchased a ticket as a birthday gift for my daughter. I'm hoping to see it again in 2025 if finances permit.

I attended the Shen Yun Show in Raleigh, NC. This was my first Shen Yun Show, and it was astonishing! Beautiful costumes, wonderful dancers, and the integrated background was remarkable. I did not expect to laugh, but my favorite dance was A School Story, which was adorably funny! Thank you for bringing your delightful performance to Eastern NC. Attended a Shen Yun performance on 1st February 2025 at Edinburgh Playhouse with my Mother-in-law. We were both left in awe from the moment the curtain went up, amazing dances and special effects, an absolute must see for all ages. The costumes were absolutely stunning, the dancing was interesting and inspiring as were the stories behind each dance. 5* performance with a standing ovation at the end. Would definitely go again!

First time I heard about Shen Yun was in 2019. I decided to attend that year and it was amazing. I've been attending every year after that. The performance in January, 29th in Orange Park, Florida was phenomenal. I do hope that Shen Yun return to FL in 2026.

Would have really liked to watch a performance. Especially since I live in North Carolina. Unfortunately I simply cannot afford the admission price. What I have been able to watch are a few scattered videos showing segments of training exercises, rehearsals and performances. I am so impressed by the efforts your performers put into their work and the seeming effortlessness of their routines. I hope you are able to continue for quite some time to come.

Saw the performance from a box seat in 2019 at Mahaffey Theatre in St Petersburg, Florida . Was utterly captivated and moved from the whole performance from beginning to the end. Completely breathtaking experience and the performers were amazing.

Enjoyed every minute of the performance so beautiful and the special effects were stunning. During the performance I was thinking that the Chinese story does not have it quite right as they believe in a creator, but that many were sent to save mankind in stead of just one. However, when the tenor, Qu Yue, sang "By What we are judged" I felt the presence of the Holy Spirt. Therefore, the performance was also spiritualy thrilling as well. Thank you so much for all of your work to share your beautiful perforamce with the world.

The show was breathtaking. My entire body, soul, and spirit was captivated by the immense beauty of the performers and orchestra. The costumes were absolutely beautiful and colorful. Shen Yun is truly an outstanding masterpiece of history.

Hello, I saw the Shen Yun show this afternoon in Bilbao, Spain, and I am very touched. The dancers, the backdrop, the stories, the choreographies, everything was beyond ordinary level. Thank you very much for this gift. I'd like to say something regarding the message of Shen Yun, and it is also my personal experience and point of view of course. I hope everybody can see this show, and specially the people in the government level of the countries, so they can understand the importance of restoring tradition, eventually do it one day, and fulfill the wish of our Creator, who wants to preserve this world, with its people. I think if we all can understand Shen Yun and their message we together can build a better world, one that believes in the Divine and lives according to morality. Thank you very much again. We have watched the commercials on tv. They look like an amazing group and we didn't realize the history. We would have never thought New York State was their home. Maybe some time in the future they will be honored in China.

I saw the show at the Bushnell in Hartford, CT. I loved the creativity, the harmony and the set design. It is amazing what can be done with technology.

Absolutely wonderful, colourful, talented, and fantastic representatives of a Chinese culture that the West does not always pay tribute to. I grew up with a fascination for China, distressed to see hear and read about the negative aspects on the political front as I got older. I was transformed back into my childhood and love of Historical China.

I saw the show in Miami the 21st I was 2nd row and to be so close to the most beautiful and magical thing I have ever seen in my life just absolutely blew me away. Shen Yun is magnificent. It was one of the most beautiful and memorable performances that I have ever seen. I cried at one point because it was so emotional. Shen Yun is spiritually uplifting and life-changing.

I went to see this show last night at the Armadillo in Glasgow and it was spectacular. From the absolutely brilliant visual digital effects to the wonderful music and dancing, to the stunning colours of the beautiful costumes, the whole experience was phenomenal and uplifting. I would most definitely recommend it and I would go and see it again in the future.

Beautiful performance in Phoenix last night. I saw one performance in Seattle and loved it abs wanted to see again. Had tickets for last year in Phoenix but ended up in surgery. Bought tickets for this year but due to family matters my associate could not go. Finally I hit my daughter to go with me ( I can no longer drive. ) I was blessed this ask worked out and the site was better than my memories of the sake show. Hope I can someone to go with me and I can afford tickets for next year.

My wife and I attended the Shen Yun show in Mesa, AZ last evening. The show was spectacular in every regard with two exceptions, the singers. The tenor was average and the baritone was less. Their performances blemished the stellar work of the dancers, choreographers and the orchestra. Onward!

I saw Shen Yuen A couple of years ago and I loved the storyline that the dancers provided for the audience. It made me see things that the Chinese struggled with during those times of the Chinese communism. But to end what I said Shen Yuen is beautiful and it brings a whole new audience and teach them the love of Chinese culture.

Awesome!!! Finally we got to see the show after many years, it was well worth the wait. Great choreography, will all dancers showing great poise and elegance, fantastic orchestra & singers, the most vibrant colours on show and watching the artist jump in and out of the screen was just magical. If Shen yun are coming to a town near you, do not miss it, a memorable evening that you will never forget. Well done to all involved in putting the show together and giving the world an insight into ancient China.

We were lucky enough to attend a Shen Yun performance in Fort Lauderdale today - December 27th. 2023. A most moving and mesmerising experience. So pleased to see such an ancient culture being preserved.

I went to see this show because I was adopted from China and was not raised to learn about Chinese culture. When the show first started, I immediately got teary eyed because it was so beautiful and I felt like I’d missed out on so much. This is a very special show for Chinese Americans and Chinese in general. The colors are so beautiful, technology was cool, and it even had some humor along the way! I would definitely see this again next year!! (the host said they have new dances and music every year!)

Saw the show last night and it was absolutely amazing! The orchestra was outstanding and I loved seeing the different instruments. Also loved learning about the cultural and spiritual aspects imparted to the audience during the show! Think my favorite dance was Snowy Mountain Celebration. Probably the best I've seen so far. So beautiful. My friends and I really enjoyed it.

Knowing that many of the dancers were defectors from China, watching the scene where the mother and daughter are arrested was very hard. I can't imagine how hard it was for the dancers to reenact that seeing knowing that many of them probably went through something very similar. I took my 6-year-old to see it and the performances were amazing. We were disappointed not to see some of the performances from the advertisements, but then we learned that they change every year. I guess we'll just have to go every year!

I am sor far just inspiritng to see so much of the blooming beautiful and inspiring stories of culture and for culture. LOVE ALL!

It was incredibly inspiring. As a dancer I was very impressed. I had front row seats and don't regret buying them at all. I had fallen into a dance slump and this show got me out of it! I would definitely recommend it. They had funny dances, impressive dances, story-based dances, and many more and performed amazingly in all genres. After the show I found myself searching for their previous performances on YouTube.

This afternoon as I was driving home from work, the tour bus was in front of me.I then passed them a d fave a big Texas wave, qw came to a atop and I got out of my truck took another picture of the driver and gave hi..a thumbs up. I saw your show in Greeley, CO on 1/21/2022. We're originally from the NYC Metro area and had wanted to catch it in NYC. COVID kept that from happening. During the pandemic, we moved to Greeley and there was always a regret for not having seen the show. Once we saw that the show was touring, we leapt at the chance. I was completely blown away by the performance, energy, and costumes. They were phenomenal. The orchestra was absolutely amazing as well. The hosts were enjoyable and enriched us with each segment. Watching this show has made me realize the dedication and discipline to the arts. Thank you!

Haven't seen the show yet. We bought tickets and were supposed to see it in 2020. Unfortunately, due to the COVID pandemic, the day we were scheduled to watch was the first day of NYC Broadway lockdown. But now it's coming back to NYC, so I called, rescheduled and look forward to the show in March 2022. I am just writing here to compliment someone behind the scene. I had a great phone call experience with a certain Nelly who was helpful, pleasant, understanding and efficient. Kudos and thank you very much for helping out with our tickets .

I have been waiting for at least four year's to see your beautiful performance. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I wish to go to New York City and possibly see a larger company perform. I wanted to let you know, the venue at the DetroitOpera House, was disappointing. For the Opera House allowed food and drink into the performance itself... I thought that very disrespectful to the patrons and the performer's. When the show completed, upon leaving the theatre it was as if I was in a common 15$ movie theater. I and my companion wore beautiful gowns , yet we walked through wet floors cups and food everywhere. My tickets that I held for one month at least for 150.00$ per seat third row center stage were not good seats at all. I did not have a good view and had to sway back and forth to see. As I never have had an opportunity to go to thee Opera House I wouldn't have known that. Your show was beautifully executed, I'd never been to a show where the narrator's came out so elequently to explain the scenes in both English and Chinese. The screen and it's incorporation with special effects were amazing and yes, magical. I would love to see you again, maybe at the historic Fox Theatre! It's more beautiful and a bigger stage. I've seen shows there before with the utmost of beauty as your company deserves.....may I add that we thought the venue did not do your show justice. I would probably not at all return to the Detroit Opera House. The bathrooms were untidy... I actually contracted a little virus, called C diff. Mostly associated within the hospital environment.... I thank you for keeping in mind the virus of COVID in Michigan and Around the world. As I forgot my wallet that keeps my vaccination card. I would have been devestated to not be able to see the show, but on site rapid testing was available,..thank you so much for that. I certainly will find a way to also contact the Detroit Opera House. About my experience for the very first time! I thought it would be thee most elegant affair and night of my life. I am 60 and I've lived in Michigan since I was 15 years of age. And I had never been to this theater....although the venue was unacceptable to me, the show was undeniably Wonderful. How I embrace my Chinese heritage...the stories match my father's stories of old....he would have loved it. The music,the costumes, the Funny and comical Sometimes stories of life as it is portrayed. Your whole company's efforts were Amazing. Beautiful. The narrator's were so professional in their style. .. I only wished your company would have stepped out on the stage again, so I could applaud their performance. And that the venue would have showcased your hard work and professionalism and respect for theater you so well deserve....so thank you for thee opportunity in coming around again in Detroit. I didn't miss it after All.. ..

I LOVED the performance in Eugene, Oregon [Sunday matinee]. In the future, I would love to see a segment dedicated to teaching the American audience about unique chinese musical instruments used in the orchestra -- what they are called, what they look like, how they sound, what purpose do they serve, and what is their history? The dancing had me mezmerized throughout. Can't wait until next year.

I had the privilege of seeing the fabulous performers of Shen Yun in Modesto, CA, The performance, from costumes, to scenery, to the background graphics was simply outstanding. I felt that it was a privilege to have had such an outstanding performance in our area, and I am looking forward to a return performance. I also spent a little time chatting with the people at the Shen Yun merchandise table, to learn a little more about the people. This was also a great experience, to add to the over-all enjoyment. I have to admit that I am captivated by the cultural significance of the performance, and the past history that it has. There is a lot of tradition that the performance radiates, and there is a lot of skill that is demonstrated by the performers, and the set design makers. I hope that the pandemic has kept all of the people of this great organization safe.

Shun Yun.......a beautiful dance, a beautiful story....all in one! The dancers are elegant, brilliantly talented and perfectly coordinated. I catch my breath at the beginning of every performance. I purchased tickets for myself and 82 years old Native American, Snoqualmie, Mother for the Modesto, CA show and I ended up on surgery table for Cancer. I want Mom to see the show because Genocide, both Assymilation and annihilation, not only happened here but is happening to Great People In China. Only in China it is Chinese People annihilating Chinese People. I have seen the Show in Sacramento maybe 6 years ago and I will definitely take Her if Health allows this year. I’ve seen some great shows and this was one of them. Shen Yun is gravity defying beautifully orchestrated educational and touching Show.

I had the pleasure of seeing the performance at the Gallo Center For The Arts, in Modesto, Ca. The show was outstanding, and so were the people. I spend a little time speaking with people from the show at their sales table, in the Gallo lobby. I was fascinated by the performances of the stage performers and by the graphics imagery that was seen. I read the stories on this site regarding the persecution that existed in China and was saddened by this, but also understood that this is unfortunately what Chinese government has proven itself to be in the past--an oppressor.

As a Dancer and a learner of the Chinese language, I was astonished. I went into the show thinking it would be like any other show I have seen, but I was truly wrong. As soon as the show had ended, I immediately started looking for Classical Chinese Dance schools near me, then I realized that I was not Chinese nor Asian. I did not know what to think, I knew that Shen Yun had white orchestra members but not dancers. I would still like to be able to preform and take part of Shen Yun but I do not know if it is a possibility. Still outstanding show! Highly recommend dancers that stood out to me were Carol Huang, Marilyn Yang, and Jay Huang Amazing job to you! And all the Shen Yun Dancers as Well! 直到我們再次金面！ Shane Leigh

Have not yet seen the show. However, after learning of the ruling communist party's repeated malicious attempts over the years at shutting your show down, I will now make it a point in life to see your performance. Admittedly, I have long avoided seeing the show, thinking it was just outlet for revising history and self-exhortation by the communist government. After learning the truth and the origins of how Shen Yun got started, however, I became quite embarrassed by my self-inflicted ignorance. I hope that all is well with all of the performers and staff with out current global situation, and that everyone is healthy and safe. Looking forward to the end to current restrictions, and to your return to the San Francisco bay area. So many people have had many wonderful things to say. Can't wait to see for myself! Nice performance!

Living in Las Vegas I have seen a lot of shows, even Elvis, as an entertainer I have never seen anyone put on a performance like he did. He put everything he had into his show, and to this day he is the best I have ever seen as a single performer or band. With that being said, my wife is Chinese and she wanted to go see Shen Yun, I didn't think I would enjoy it or even understand it, but I was happily surprised, and wished it didn't end. The orchestra was exceptional, and the dancers, what can I say except that I still can't believe some of the moves that they do, and as a team you are all in unison. Fantastic show, can't wait to see it again next year. One final note, I hope that everyone who is part of the Shen Yun organization are well and that the CCP virus has not taken anyone from you. The experience is magnified if your seats are at or slightly below stage level. Center aisle enhances the intricate dancing formations as well. From this vantage point the dancers sore to great heights. One should prepare for a truly symbiotic relationship between the slowly controlled sustained bodily movements of the dancers and ones own breathing. Throw away the high blood pressure medicine. Shen Yun has a way to self regulate your way to relaxation. If I had to use one word it would be GRACE

The performance was exquisite and a wonderful insight into the Chinese culture. I was afraid the performance would be cancelled because of the Coronavirus and there were many empty seats in the theater, but it was worth taking the risk!

Me and my wife were thrilled with the opportunity to attend to a Shen Yun performance during our trip to New York, since we could not go to the closest venue to our home in Brazil, which will be held soon in São Paulo. It was a fantastic artistic and spiritual experience that we will hold dear in our hearts for ever, and that we hope to see again whenever the opportunity appears.

Amazing and breathtaking

I waited and prepared months to see the Shen Yun performance...and am I glad I did! Fascinating show: all of it. My very favorite was the "Li Bai" episode. Also, the skits involving the plight of the Falun Dafa where in just the right amount and completely appropriate. Hope to see next years show!

The dancers were precise with every movement - an brilliant ebb and flow of colour and form. Shen Yum is a divine portrayal of resplendent beauty that is delivered passionately by each performer. The dancing is outstanding. The show is incredible. It contains various aspects of Chinese culture, including some humor. The women dancers and the host, Ellen, are also stunningly beautiful. Like angels brought to Earth.

Breathtaking. Extremely talented individuals wearing beautiful costumes made for a breathtaking performance. We really enjoyed how the whole thing was out together, each scene narrated at beginning by hosts in English and in Mandarin (I assume) to give a good understanding of each performance. This was such an awesome experience for me to share with my granddaughter. We were both amazed at all of the beautiful colors and how the performances (Chinese dances) allowed us to share in the Chinese culture. The choreography was excellently done. Bringing life out of the back drops was amazing and the costumes, chosen colors, music and overall performances were truly breathtakingly beautiful. It was a wonderful experience we will reflect on for years to come. It is by far, a must see for those who have not yet had this experience.

Shen Yun is a cultural, and spiritual experience that enlighten the senses. It creates a time zone with music, dance,color, fabric and invites the audience to travel along on an imaginary journey back in time.

The drum opening gave me goosebumps. The precision and sound combined to leave a lasting impression. The sleeve dance was amazing as well. A person can tell the dancers really enjoy their craft and love entertaining the audience The MCs were great. To hear the explanations in both languages is fascinating The lady who played the two string solo was exceptional That was such a treat for my ears. I love instrumental music, thank you for adding that to the program. Also, your use of technology adds an almost mystical flare to the performances. Thank you to everyone who makes SHEN YUN possible!!

Absolutely loved the performance, the interactive screen is amazing and found the introductions to the dances very informative.

My favorite scene was the Water Sleeves. I loved the grace and flow of the synchronized female dancers throughout the performance. It was so peaceful and up lifting. The male dancers were very good, also! Such precision! FEELING the stories being told. The innovation 3D projection caught me and the audience off guard! Very cool!!! I loved the playing of that 2 string instrument, as well as observing the audience looking around to see others reactions. And, I must included that the narration was well done, too!! I purchased the SHEN YUN 2020 calendar to remember it all year long!!!! I’m so grateful that I FINALLY got to see it! I hope it becomes a yearly tradition for me and my daughter. Overall the performance was breathtaking perfection!! BRAVO!!!

I had to wait a full year before we could get tickets because the shows were all sold out . once i knew we were going i couldn't wait ! It was everything and more . You don't know going in what it will be , i expected the beautiful dance but the singing and the spirituality of the show , the interactive technology , every facial expression and handgestures made in not only stunning in person but unforgettable in memory. Thank you for a wonderful experience , my hope is one day you get to do this performance for the persecuted in china , we loved it .

I attended the Shen Yun performance in Philadelphia yesterday. Absolutely fabulous! The visual beauty, the staging, the video backdrops that were part of each sequence, the costumes, and the music were spectacular. The dancers, however, were stunning in their abilities, creativity, expressions, and manner in which they could convey a story through dance. It was balletic and all accomplished through traditional Chinses Dance, all of which was wonderful and inspiring. The narration was also helpful and brought you into the program in a way that one rarely sees or hears. My highest recommendation.

Greatly enjoyed the performance. Will see it again next time.

The open and unapologetic reference to the oppressive governmental system was appreciated; and to me, having spent much time in Communist China over the past 30 years...it was spot-on important. Loved the show this is the second time I have seen Shen yun I saw it in 2018 and then I just saw the 2020 show I would see it again and again.

Show, costumes and special effects were exceptional. At the same time we wouldn't attend any function at the Miriam Theater again. While ushers and other employees were great seats were too small and close together....

I just attended the show with my Deaf daughter in St. Paul MN. It would be fantastic if Shen Yun would collaborate with Schools For The Deaf around the country to give Deaf children of all ages this magical experience.

An absolutely magnificent look into the 5000 year old world of history in China! The performance was spectacular and the costumes, background, and music were stunning. I have never seen such talent!!

I had experienced Shen Yun in Saint Paul, Minnesota at the Ordway on February 21st. It was great experience with bright colors, good music, good dancing, and good silent play type acting with the dancing. The entire show incorporated all aspects of how entertainment shows had been done for a very long time. Some of the dances tell a story, and some are graceful dances moves. It is a great experience.

I have been wanting to see Shen Yun for years! And finally after moving from Michigan to Texas, I saw it in Richardson in January 2020. It was everything I hoped it would be. Having sat in the first row, I could see that the actors embody this performance so much that the message of Shen Yun comes through even in their facial expressions. Such a wonderful cultural experience.

First time I saw advertisement of Shen Yun was in 2018. I researched about it but tickets were not affordable for me and I was busy with my little one. So, I did not plan to attend. When I received a brochure in Oct-Nov 2019, I was surprised and glad to get it. I attended Feb 2020 show in St. Paul, MN. Artists move gracefully, their costumes have vibrant colors yet elegant and seems to be inspired by nature. The program had multiple acts, dance and performances - including history of Shen Yun, current political views of [persecution in] China towards Falun Dafa, Comedy acts, solo singing, Different traditional costumes and classical dancing. I wish they include little audiences in future. I missed my toddler and felt guilt as I watched such amazing performance. I am sure it will be fascinating and entertaining for entire family young-old all alike.

This was my second time going to this show. It was just as awesome as the first. The beautiful costumes, hard working performers and the amazing choreography amazed me again. I enjoyed the folk and ethnic dances and the stories behind the performances. Great job to everyone who took part in its production.

Shen Yun in Philly February 21st I was moved by the beauty of the dance performances and messages of love and salvation especially the soloist "Awaken". Americans take for granted that Chinese still suffer religious persecution under the Communist regime. A truly wonderful show! God Bless Shen Yu in spreading message of hope and love!

Shen Yun 2020 was an eye catching soothing show to watch. I enjoy the fact no phones allowed to distract the performing arts. This was the second time we have seen the show. Absolutely fantastic.

I had seen Shen Yun advertised in 2017 when we lived in Texas but was unable to attend. I took my grandaughter as a birthday/Christmas present to the St. Petersburg performance and was fascinated! I was so happy to watch my grandaughter's delight as she laughed and awed at the different performances!! Your staff with the Shen Yun products were wonderful as well. The ushers at the theater added to a wonderful experience!!

Show was beautiful and full of Chinese history. I liked the two announcers that would come on stage each time to a explain what the next dance was about. Costumes were bright and colorful. Performers were amazing with their acrobatic movements. Backdrop screen showed some beautiful scenes. There was humor in some of the dances, as well as, the seriousness of the Chinese culture during ancient times. The Chinese people are soooo gracious in their mannerisms. Loved it.

My niece and I attended as a reward to ourselves for making it through a particularly difficult season since last August. It was exactly what we hoped it would be plus so much more! We enjoyed it so much and learned so much. We've promised ourselves that we'll never miss another performance!

The costumes were beautifully made, The Culture of China was amazingly presented to me through music, dance and costume. I had a great time. Great job.

I took my daughter as a birthday present. We love the performance. The dancers were fabulous and the colorful outfits were just amazing. We saw Shen yun at the Rosemont theatre near Chicago. The only complaint I have is that the door attendant that pass out the brochures did not want to give me one. She passed it out to other audience members with no problems, but I had to ask for one. Then when I asked for an additional one for my daughter I was told to share. But other then that our experience was great.

We saw Shen Yun first the first time in Burlington VT. It will not be the last time. The dancers, musicians, stage crew and masters of ceremony are all professional and amazing. The athleticism and grace of the dancers is astounding. We only stopped smiling long enough to, "Wow!" Thank you for an amazing performance. Bravo, Shen Yun!

Good show, was not Wowed though after seeing previews of past shows but it was a great night out for the arts!

The synchronized dance, the magnificent automated backdrops and the array of colors were so pleasing to the eyes. The various storylines and details to culture were superb. The 2hr 15min show even felt short because I was so deeply engaged through tour the performances of story telling and songs and orchestra, that wanted the show to go on and on and on and on! I surely have seen live musical or performance arts of other culture but this was brilliant and nothing like any that I have watched! Just spell-bounded on the narration, sets, visual effects of live and digital at background, performers precision’s, elaborate enthralling costumes, and the soul engaging live orchestra!!!! Great performance team!!! Keep bringing in more stories and I’m sure I’ll look forward for next year’s new release

Beautiful show from all of the wonderful dancers, choreographers, orchestration and everyone else that was involved in this great and educational presentation. I miss some of the dancers that must have been transferred to a different location and i'm hoping they can return next year. This was my 5th time coming to see the show and it's always a fabulous uplifting experience. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication i love you all.

A fantastic performance which far exceeded my expectations. The elegance, beauty, precision and wit combined into a most memorable experience. I was struck by the humbleness of the performers. Thank you for this window into ancient Chinese culture. I wish Chinese authorities will relent and allow performance in China itself. It is high time Chinese communist dictators relented and opened the door to a truly FREE China. Shen Yun can help in this, and I wish them all success.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To dance freely through one's life cannot be contained by deranged bullies forever. I am thankful we are able to experience the performing arts uncensored. I was fascinated by the range of notes produced by the two stringed erhu(?). In the piece which had a lily pond background and began with the dancers seated on the floor, their costumes made the women look like water lilies themselves. I loved the men riding horses. So much to enjoy. Shen Yun was spectacular in every way, and it wasn't a dream. It was real!!

I absolutely LOVED the performance!!! The story lines were excellent. I took my 4 year old granddaughter and after each performance, she replied, " that was amazing!" Thank you for an extraordinary experience!

An amazing performance which immediately draws you in by the energy of the performers. It is a feast to the eyes and overwhelms the senses. You are disappointed when it ends, and relive it in your mind. This was the first time that my husband and I attended Shen Yun, but it will not be our last.

I attended the performance with my daughter, niece and sisters in law. The orchestra was amazing! The performers were flawless! I appreciated the education pieces from Persecuted for your redemption and Abetting the Wicked. This was my second time seeing Shen Yun but the first for everyone else. We were amazed how the performers were in sync with the orchestra. The colorful costumes and the movement along with the 3D backdrop made for a mesmerizing evening. We especially like how they brought human positivity, freedom of thought, and exercising freedom of religious expression into the program. My daughter and I really enjoyed the performance, especially some of the folk stories of China. We loved the beautiful costumes and original dances. She loves ballet, and it was very fun for her to see a completely different dance that was as beautiful and intricate as ballet. I think I like the costumes better than any ballet I've ever seen. The religious beliefs are interesting, and it's good for her to understand that not everyone views the world the way we do.

My husband, John, and I have desired to see Shen Yun for several years and in 2020, we were finally able to witness what I call 'A cultural and spiritual feast for the senses!' The gorgeous orchestral music, the stunning backdrop of each dance performance and the dancers, themselves, drew is into a visual paradise of beauty, talent, grace, strength, action, and humor. The stories were laced with a spiritual aspect that, to me, drew God and man closer. We will make this an annual event!

I had been wanting to see Shen Yun since the beginning of 2019. My husband and I finally went to see the performance in Jan 2020. It. Was. Astounding! Everything about Shen Yun was fantastic: the choreography, the costumes, the music, the level of obvious dedication and talent. I cant wait for next year's.

My wife has always wanted to go however I am not a fan of performing arts. I have to say we both loved the performance and also the music very much. The history behind Chinese culture was amazing to learn and we are planning on going back again next year.

This was my second time attending in 2020. Apart from the Celestial dances, your screen to stage and stage to screen interactions make this show one of a kind in the world of entertainment. I Couldn't realize when the exquisite entertainment turns to a sublime spiritual experience. I promised myself I will see the show at least once every year as long as I live and the show lasts. This was the sixth time my husband and I have attended a Shen performance. It is also the second time we have taken our adult granddaughter. We have enjoyed ever performance we have seen and the 2020 was the best one yet. All three of us have decided to make attending an annual event.

My wife and I really enjoyed all the elements of the performance from the dancing with gymnastics to the animation bringing the dancers on to the stage showing a little piece of Asian folk law. The drum section to the flying ribbons from the ladies sleeves, we both had the best 2hrs of entertainment for a long time. All members of the Shen Yun group put a wonder full performance, thankyou for entertain us.

My sister and I attended the show for the first time and were absolutely amazed by the performances and the sets. I was a little surprised to see a bit of comedy woven into the show but I enjoyed it tremendously. We sat front row, orchestra section and we also were amazed by the orchestra as well. My advice would be to definitely go see Shen Yun at least once although I would love to see them again and again. You would have to see it to believe it is a wonderful experience that will stay with you for a long, long time!

I have wanted to see this for a number of years. I received two tickets from my Daughter for Christmas. I took my 21 year old Grand daughter who is a Theater Arts Major at San Diego State University and she is finishing her Senior year. She acts and dances. We were awestruck with this show. It was the most Magnificent show I have ever seen. We had to just savor what we saw before we could even discuss what we had just seen. Thank you- Thank you- Thank you. I will remember this the rest of my life

Were do i start .The beginning i guess.My Daughter and i watched your amazing performance yesterday afternoon.Our minds were just blown away by the beautiful colours of the costumes and the storytelling which at times did bring myself to tears .To see and hear about Chinese history which i love and do watch a lot of dramas and documentaries all the time.The Dancers were amazing all the years of training really did pay off. The special effects were stunning and great part of the storytelling..I just want to say a great big THANK YOU for bringing just a small part of Chinese culture to some of us that will only see this beautiful place through performances like this . best show i’ve ever seen, outfits were beautiful and dancers where so good, i hope to go to it again next year

I would like to say this show was outstanding,full of life and there is nothing that can be compared to this performance. The dancers were like angels in heaven reminding us life is not about money but the connection with God and your faith. We had one of the closer seats but even if my daughters and I were not able to be in the closer seats, we would still feel the same experience. This was a spectacular performance and i would see it a million times more!!! This was more than just a dance it was a connection with the dancers the art the orchestra and so much more including spiritual inspiration. The dancers and the orchestra have worked so hard now I know why people describe this performance as a heavenly experience on earth. This performance truly describes the meaning of 100% perfection and rythm and harmony with one another. This show was truly an unforgettable experience. If I was rating this out of ten stars this would come off the chart. Truely and honestly recommend this performance this is something i have never seen before!

I would like to say that your show was awesome, colourful, informative and stunning. The ballet was of the highest quality and I felt it gave me a real insight into traditional historic Chinese culture. The special effects were advanced and great to watch. The music along with the ballet narrated the stories so well. I feel privileged to have seen the Performance.

I am very excited to see the show in Detroit. I am an ESL teacher and primarily teach Chinese children. I have always been interested in Chinese Culture and I feel we all should embrace and protect the history.

Just from viewing the promotional advertisements, I can see that the effort which has gone into the production of this performance is overwhelming. It is sheer beauty in motion. Stunning dancing and live orchestra, as well as singing. There is a belief portrayed in some scenes -- but if this were a Greek Orthodox Christian show (which I am and which we have) then that would have been the subject matter. Go in understanding they're also presenting their beliefs -- and enjoy the show watching a culture's ways. Moving -- mind blowing timing, lovely orchestration, and sheer love in what the dancers do. Not only are the dancers near perfect, not only do they push the boundaries, they glow from within. They obviously love what they do. We went twice in one week.

We had arrived a little early and walked around outside for a little being a tourist sort of. But when they let us in and we found our seats (very quickly with the help of the nice people there) we sat down and enjoyed the most magickal experience we have ever had since our wedding. We loved it and really hope we will make it again this next year, it is something that should be seen by one and all and experience it for yourself. May go to Portland and see it next year.

The Apollo London, April 2019. I treated my oldest son, daughter-in-law and three granddaughters who are all adults, to this performance. But I sat in agony where the seats were too close together, it was really unbearable, until the performance of Shen Yun began, all my distress disappeared, it was so wonderful and a stunning performance to sit there and to be overwhelmed by the story, colour of the costumes and the extraordinary coordination of the dances. I would highly recommend this show, you never let us down, so well done to you all.

I've been wanting to see this show, since discovering it last year. I decided to make this event more special, by taking my girlfriend of 3 years out on our anniversary. She was happy and so was I: They delivered a great spectacle, that's worth seeing time and time again!

My Daughter had bought me tickets for my birthday in March. My Wife and I got to see the performance at Lincoln Center in New York City. It was amazing! I definitely want to see what they have in store in 2020.

My daughter bought excellent tickets for early Mother's Day gift and we both loved, loved, loved the show! I was especially thrilled to have an answer to my question about the sweet sound in the orchestra, when the curtain went up on Linda Wang playing the Erhu. What beautiful music!! The entire orchestra was totally amazing also. The new background in Hi-def and integration was superb and mind boggling! Only one big disappointment: allowing guests to enter late (all through the performance) was extremely maddening! People should not be let in until the intermission---no matter what the excuse! We had groups of 5 or more talking and changing seats when they arrived late. Spending more than $400.00 on tickets etc. should be worth more than all the parts we missed due to that rudeness.

So graceful, agile and entertaining with delightful story-telling through dance/movement. I loved the way you married West with East on the Chinese style music. Probably my favourite scene was the beginning of the second act which was simply 'heavenly'! China does seem to be a real land of cultural contrasts!

I loved seeing Shen Yun again for a third time. Beautiful costumes, amazing choreography, moving solo and pianist performance, exciting music, enthralling Chinese culture and storytelling, technology right on target. Worth seeing!

Took my 7 year old granddaughter. The combination of the exquisite classic, cultural dance with modern day technology was mind blowing. At one point the chariot seemed to be riding right out over the audience, while at another point we were transported into the background of Heavenly gardens. Brilliantly designed! Brilliantly choreographed! BRILLIANTLY PERFORMED! THANK YOU! The only sad thing is to know it may NOT be performed in the homeland of China for those who most need to see it. Perhaps one day...

The promoter decided for all of its guests - THEY DO NOT SERVE ALCOHOL at its concession stands. Be aware if you want to have a drink and relax, and watch the show. Probably wouldn’t have spent the $220 per ticket had I known!

This is the 2nd time I have seen Shen Yun, and I was in awe of everything about the show. It's hard to accurately describe the feeling one has after viewing such a beautiful artistic display. The dancers take your breathe away as they do their jaw dropping performances. The costumes are simply gorgeous. The projected backdrops make you wish you could step right into them, the scenes are so vivid and they seem to actually come alive! I realize that there is a somewhat political stance taken during some of the songs. But, I will forget about that for a while as I am taken to a dreamlike, wonderful world of beauty, music and dance.

I bought tickets for my husbands birthday. He always wanted to see your show. Well this year I really surprised him! We both enjoyed it very much and plan to make it a tradition. The synchronicity , the colors, the screen animation , orchestra....all of it was amazing! I’ve never seen anything like it. You all work so hard to give us this beautiful show and we appreciate it. Three of my sisters and I went to the performance in Boise. We all agreed, this was the most beautiful , Jaw dropping performance we have ever seen. The music, the costumes, the dancing, the beautiful inspiring story. Thank you, it is something we will never forget and will look forward to seeing another one next year.

I drove several hours to Boise, not knowing exactly what to expect. After the performance I had to admit, it was wonderfully done and unique, in blending live dancers with screen animation, all accompanied by a first rate (and also unique) orchestra. I went into "color overload" viewing the brilliant costumes, which changed more times than I could count. Next year I won't mention the long drive at all!

Have wanted to see this for several years. Finally. It was beyond any expectations. Most beautiful ever. Thoroughly worth the wait. Will attend again in the future.

I saw the performance today and was so impressed with the dancing which combines classical ballet [sic] with traditional Chinese dance and music. The story of the revitaiization of this art was very impressive. The costumes were stunning. I have already recommended the performance to several people. There are so many words that come to mind when I think of my Shen Yun Experience; for it is an Experience like any Journey Life takes you on and yet like no other. From the One of a Kind Orchestral Music the Journey Begins my Heart is touched and my World is filled with an array of Bright Beautiful Colors! It is similar to being in Heaven! Shen Yun is Outstanding, Beautiful, Phenomenal, Breathtaking, Heart-breaking, Magical, Stupendous, Full of Hope, Forgiveness, Joy, Peace, and Love! A Journey Beyond which Human Words can Describe.

Wonderful performance. Took my granddaughters and enjoyed the show. I and the oldest girl went last year and thought we would see a repeat, but to our surprise it was different and just as amazing. The baby girl was thrilled with the dancing, orchestra and her favorite scene was the Fairies of the Clouds. Must see performance.

Absolutely amazing. The performances were beautiful. The artists are highly skilled and execute flawlessly. My wife and I both thought it was the best dance performance we had ever seen. The costumes were amazing, and the orchestra was as perfect as the dancers. I can't overstate how much we enjoyed it.

Me and my mom went to see it and it was great, the dancers were great, the live symphony was awesome (and hilarious at times). The 3D interactive screen was very cool, and the final act left me and my mom stunned with amazement. 10/10 would go see this again if I had the chance. Keep it up guys!

I was disappointed to not get a program. The attendants were refusing to give more than 1 per family. The perfomances were breathtaking, captivating and humorous. A must see. Needs souvenirs tho, not just jewelry & scarves maybe.

This magical production revived my memories of my trip to China in the past. This was beautiful beyond belief, and it was like a Mystical experience for me! What a fantastic performance. I was mesmerised. The costumes the music the dancers the colors the technology oh my goodness it was just absolutely delightful. Every time I talk about it I can't stop smiling. My family sick mom look at the smile on your face as you came out from seeing the performance. I've waited so long and was blessed by a gift and it was worth the wait.

....yesterday my wife and I enjoyed and were marveled by the breathtaking performance! The performance was A+ ...the seating was D- for the theatre...I am tall, and my legs would not fit without a major discomfort from the plywood back of the seat directly in front of me. My wife, who is also tall, suffered as well. It is a shame to have such a stellar presentation be drawn down by very cramped seating.

simply the best show ever

I attended show in early January. The show was very good, what I could see of it. The venue was awful. I could only see half of the stage because of peoples heads in the row in front of me. The floor is not on an incline conducive to be able to see over people in front of you. Considering what I had to pay for the tickets, the experience was not worth it. People were allowed to enter long after the performance began. This also blocked my view of the stage. I would highly recommend seeing the show at a different location.

I saw it on both opening (on Chinese New Year) and closing night and as my mother says, “it gets better every year”. For the four years that we have been seeing Shen Yun, I have to agree with her. I am looking forward to see what next year’s production brings!

Last year in DC my wife and I saw a Shen Yun performance and it was everything the dazzling advertisements said it would be to the dancing, the acrobatics, the music, the narration in between, the inventive back drop effects, the costumes, the sets. What a beautiful spectacle! A very professionally assembled performance. All that being said, WHY on earth when the performance has concluded does half the audience get up and split to the exits? (We NEVER witness that after a symphony concert.) What a massive insult to the performers taking their well-deserved bows to see all these people "getting out of Dodge". Why can`t everyone stay and applaud and show appreciation for a moving performance? It comes across as a "been there, done that" attitude. How demeaning to the performers! Is getting to your cars more important than showing some appreciation for a spellbinding presentation and all the exertion and creativity involved to do it? I do not understand it and I feel sorry for the performers seeing all that from the stage. Well, we ourselves loved it. WE stayed and applauded!!

The artistry, hard work, props, costumes and dedication make this show incredible. We enjoyed it very much. However, I was very offended by the aggressive staff member who threatened to confiscate by daughter's cell phone. She was using it before the show and was in the process of turning it off. Another man in the audience was ordered to stop texting immediately during intermission. I understand the fear of having your show copied, but please have the staff be kind in asking for cell phones to be turned off.

Shen Yun is a must see - we thought it was majestic and high quality! The artistry of the whole performance blew me away, as the colors pop in every scene, and dancers float across stage in perfect rhythm with the music. Every piece was enjoyable and the meanings were timeless. Shen Yun as a whole was astonishing :)

Excellent show, both graceful and precise, and also very energetic. Interaction with backdrop visuals exceptional. The months of hard work and attention to the smallest detail of very complex dance routines is evident and well rewarded. Well done !

This was my second time to see the performance. I continued to be awed by the exquisite execution and poignant interpretation of the dancers and musicians. Every position and extension were in perfect unison. Sadly, Shen Yun opted to utilize the venue’s “Wiggle Room” for recording equipment, and we were forced to endure the antics of an unhappy 2 year old sitting in front of us.

I saw Shen Yun a few years ago in Grand Rapids, MI and the performances were awesome!!! The grace, beauty, poise...no words can express how wonderful this performance is...you MUST see it with your own eyes!!! Every year I find a performance, if not offered in Grand Rapids, and travel there just for this performance!! Truly amazing!!!!

The performance was incredible but I would have to complain about one thing. The intermission was too short interms of the lines to use the bathroom. It took the whole time to line up in the women's bathroom line that by the time we came back to our door, it was closed and not allowed to be open. We were not the only ones in this predicament. So much so, we had to miss 2 acts because they would not let us in when the performance was taking place. I spent more than $600 for my family to see this and we missed 2 acts....this was ridiculous and very dissapointing. Maybe more restrooms should be available....something needs to be done. $600 is alot to spend and not get to see 2 acts!!!!

I bought 3 tickets for my husband and my son who just turned 12 last December 19..as their Christmas gifts. They cannot thanked me enough for bringing them to the show.They were mesmerized on how the play was executed, the beautiful costumes as well as the change of the setting like you were in China in the older times.. A breathtaking journey into rich traditions, beautiful traditional dress and dance, combined with modern technology. Aside from the traditional stories of fairies or lost love, the show contains an educational aspect that showcases faith, highlights the fight against suppression and the fight to bring the unique story telling and skills of the Chinese culture back from under the stone it's been crushed by. I felt moved enchanted, blessed and mesmerized by the experience.

This was my second visit to Shen Yun and the performance was outstanding. I love the stories, the costumes and the incredible dancing. I was a bit concerned with the use of the "Red Cross" as a symbol of evil in 'Goodness in the Face of Evil'. Forced organ harvesting is not part of the Red Cross mandate. Perhaps the colour of the cross could be changed for future performances.

Absolutely inspiring performances from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the show, the orchestra were flawless and the performers stunning in beauty and ability. Your introducers were also extremely articulate and presented the show in a very enjoyable manner Thank you to all involved in making this show so brilliant.

A wonderful performance. However, on the one hand you were clearly aiming to promote international understanding and an appreciation of Chinese culture, yet on the other hand you quite openly and deliberately criticised past and current Chinese Governments, and therefore will inevitably not be invited to perform in China. Yes - criticise repression, but do it in a more "discrete" way.

This is just a wonderful performance. I loved every minute of it. The music is just wonderful. i will come back next year to see the new performance.

The music, the costumes, the stories were fabulous. It was my first show. I did not expect so much religious connection, but knowing the meaning of Shen Yun, it makes perfect sense. I appreciated both singers in the show and the many different periods of Chinese history displayed. Will definitely attend again. Don't lose the spiritual in the show, heavenly music and singing and dancing need a source.

The performance was just super awesome, my daughter brought us tickets for a Christmas present. I told her it was the best money can buy. This was the first and not the last time seeing the Shen Yun show. Loved every minute of it.

Every year I attend the Nutcracker and tell myself to follow up with Shen Yun. I never did ! I visited China this summer and was amazed ! So , after returning to the US , I promised myself to attend this year . Well , I just attended the performance ..,magnificent ! I loved the beauty and the history of five thousand years of civilization .

This was my first Shen Yun experience. I'm almost 30 and I've waited YEARS to see this. I laughed, I cried and I jumped in surprise! This was truly incredible and beautiful! The choreography was breathtaking and those flips were AWESOME! The emotions were hitting my soul hard. I can't wait to see it again!

I saw Shen Yun performed at the Civiv Opera House in Chicago, December, 2018 The dancing was stunning, the technology of the stage set was mystical. The stories told in the performances were both heartfelt and whimsical.

It was the greatest show I have ever seen in my time and I am 77yr.old. So I have seen many. The grace of all and color was beautiful. My legs are still straight and strong because of years of ballet. Thank you so much.

We all had a very nice time. The Dancers were excellent and the orchestra was superb. Artful Chinese music done by experts. Very impressed. Don't do your performance at Jones Hall. It is not ADA compliant and many elderly had to take stars. Parking was a mess too. Have your next Houston performance at Houston Baptist University. They have a new Dunham Theater that is better and very easy to get into and out of - especially for elderly people with walkers/wheelchairs.

I attended my first Shen Yun performance last night in San Jose, CA. It was magical! I t will not be my last. I plan to make it an annual event.

All I can say is I want to see more! There is huge potential for this show to take new forms on smaller stages around the world. Perhaps Shen Yun could open a new troupe that produces smaller, less expensive performances featuring folk dances from various regions and time periods of China. This troupe could perform at wholesome community theatres in cities large and drastically small widening the reach of the glory that is Shen Yun.

The stories of the past and current culture of China were both funny and heart breaking but really a very good visual rendering of some of the history of China. I had wanted to see Shun Yun for 4 years and I’m so glad I finally saw it. To be seeing recreations of ancient dance and to hear the beautiful music of China was a very special thing. The dancers were so graceful as they told their stories. I rarely hear Chines music and this music was beautiful. To learn the ancient beliefs and customs was enlightening and to see the price the Chinese have paid for their faith is heartbreaking. Now I understand better why the Chinese are not currently allowed to practice religion. Heartbreaking. Thank you for this wonderful Shen Yun, and we will see it again each year!

Wonderful show! Humanity must support the preservation of all ancient cultures across the world from Europeans, Asians, Africans and North/South Americas. This is a prime example of how it should be done and stop the evils of commie Marxism who want to suppress the ancient heritages of the world.

My mother and I saw Shen Yun for the second time. My favorite dance numbers were "Han Dynasty Sleeves", "Awakening" (I wonder, will there be a dance number, that features Bhaisajyaguru/Medicine Buddha, the Glazed Paradise, and the two bodhisattvas of sunlight and moonlight? If not for any reason, then I'll understand), the Hmong ethnic dance "In the Mountains" (I was wondering why I heard jingling sounds behind the curtain before it lifted to reveal their source), "Ladies of the Qing Dynasty" (similar to "Manchurian Elegance"?), "A Touch of Paradise" (nice Tang Dynasty dresses), "Elegance in the Middle Kingdom" (even if I didn't remember the details), and "Archery in Another Dimension" (for some reason, dance numbers featuring Taoist abodes or themes are my apparent favorite). It was strange seeing the dancers hold cellphones with touching-screens as part of the dance number "The Divine Renaissance Begins".

It was a beautiful performance. I'm looking forward to next year to go again

Hi there i came with my sweetheart who loves dancing and dance. we really enjoyed the dance, the energy, effort, colours and stories. it was interesting. imho - It lacked a plot or a story. something that connected all the performances, the host and hostess were all very nice and smart standing in the corner but that only really introduced the individual stories.

I saw the 2017 Shen Yun performance at the Palace theater by myself last March and could not stop talking about it; it was magical. So when I saw the show was coming back to CT I wanted to get tickets for my mother and me to see it. She had a wonderful time and I enjoyed myself again; I can honestly say that it was a whole new show with only like 2 things being the same. It is a wonderful thing to see and well worth the money; if Shen Yun will be close to you I highly recommend it for a night of culture and some laughs. Saw Shen Yun in Philly today. Very nice dance performances. Loved the mongolian dance. Slightly below my expectations from an overall theatre experience. The short programs made it difficult to enjoy the show. More folk lores and a story/theme that blended the different performances would have been a better experience for me.

‘Wo ai Shen Yun’ is now the favourite Chinese sentence for Amrusha Husain, the Tiny Category Winner of the UK’s Cutest Kid 2017/2018. It means ‘I love Shen Yun’... thanks to the educational teachings of the Masters of Ceremony during the show. The 5-year-old attended the opening night of Shen Yun in London on February 16th, 2018. She remained glued to the stage for the entire two and a half hours, her mass of curly black hair moving from left to right as she carefully observing every tumble and prop. A frequent attendant of several concerts herself, Amrusha was especially intrigued by the variety packed into the show from cinematic, theatrical, acrobatic, ballet, operatic, and instrumental. She gasped with concern as a dancer seemed to leap into the screen and then fall off a cliff. Amrusha navigated through the aisle during the intermission, striking up conversation with conductor, Mr. Hakobyan, whilst learning the names of different Chinese musical instruments. She was especially impressed with the erhu (2 stringed violin); the Hmong ethnic dance which she has fondly renamed ‘the bottom dance’, and the humourous Buffoonery in the Schoolyard, where a dancer imitated a body sound. This year, it was my first time to see Shen Yun. While I saw the show, I was just blown away by the dance, costumes, stories, and music. I loved it and after I saw the show, I decided that my New Year's resolution was to see Shen Yun every year. When you go to Manhattan to see a performance that is highly recommended, get immersed while history, fantasy, and dance all combine to make Shen Yun.

Another great show representing the courage and stamina of the people of China willing to take a stand for what they believe in and with brilliant costumes & choreography that year by year bring truth and enlightenment to the audience worldwide. I understand the persecution they have been through. For example between the year 2000 and 2008 I heard that approximately 65,000 Falun Dafa believers were killed for organ harvesting. These atrocities are known by the Creator and the perpetrators will not go unpunished on the Judgement Day. Thanks to all involved in this presentation, stay strong and may you have a long life.

This past New Year's Eve was my third time seeing Shen Yun and I know I will go again and again. Love it all, but, my only regret is that I ( we ) cannot see these beautiful costumes up close. They are also works of art, and should be seen. Perhaps a small gallery in the lobbies of the venues or better still, put a show together and present it to museums. I live in Salem Massachusetts and we have the Peabody Essex Museum that is dedicated to Asian art. I am sure they would love to show your costumes and the designers and makers of these beautiful works of art deserve their kudos. Please think about it. There is no way we can appreciate these beautiful creations from our seats in the audience. Thank you for bringing Shen Yun to us, continued blessings.

Visually stunning and playful. The costumes and colors are a feast for the eyes. The lithe dancers move with a grace and skill that have to be seen to be believed. I was overcome with emotion when I realized that not only are these dedicated performers sharing their passion and culture but are also imparting a message of religious freedom not allowed by current politics in China today.

I took my granddaughter to see the show. It was our first time. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned so much about the culture and history. We are planning to go again.

I took my 10 year old daughter and we both loved the performances, the colours were fabulous, and the storylines were always surprising. Also my daughter was so pleased she would love to see it again.

I have seen the show three times now and each time it gets so much better. This past time I bought seven tickets and took some of the family and they were completely enthralled. Amazing! A truly awesome experience! I love color and the May 6, 2017 performance was surely filled with lots of it with the beautiful music, costumes and scenery. The digital screen was so fascinating to watch as it "came to life" and our seats were perfect! All of the performances were more than excellent, and my faves were Han Dynasty Sleeves, A Child's Choice, Yellow Blossoms and Bestowing the Tao. I have been learning Mandarin and enjoy watching shows about China, its culture and history. I was asked to do an interview after the show :) and it was very nice to express my thoughts and meet some of your crew. This was the best Shengri Kuaile I have ever had! Wo xie xie ni for a most memorable time! Looking forward to 2018!

I have never seen anything as beautiful and magnificent as Shen Yun. The performers are spectacular and so very talented. I also enjoyed the live music and exquisite costumes. The backgrounds used in each segment are a wonder in themselves. But, of course, the real credit goes to the young men and women who are amazing as they tell each story in perfect timing and grace. I'll be telling all my family and friends to make sure they experience this feast for the senses. I know for certain that this will not be the one and only performance I will see. Oh, and the young couple who introduce each story are also quite enjoyable.

I Attended the April 23rd evening show. This was the first time I saw a Shen Yun performance and it will not be the last. The show was magnificent and stunning. The dancers were in perfect harmony. The ladies were graceful and elegant and the men showed strength and masculinity. To see Michelle Ren in person along with the so many talented dancers was to see perfection. The use of colors in the costumes and the backdrop was exquisite and the orchestra sensational. You could feel the music take you on a magical journey to China. Thank You Shen Yun for keeping China's rich culture and traditions alive. This was truly a divine experience worth seeing again.

I watched the matinee performance on April 15 as a birthday present and it was truly one of the most magical experiences of my life! Even though I attended the evening performance the year before, it is as though it was my first time! The calibre of the performances was second to none, the pure joy radiating from each of the dancers & musicians was awe inspiring and I loved that each item was explained to the audience in a intelligent and often humorous way. I particularly enjoyed the way that the same level of care, attention to detail and devotion to craft is displayed in both the matinee and evening performances, as I have attended other productions (not Shen Yun) where this is not the case and the "best" is saved for the night time. Thank you so much for your dedication and devotion; I can't wait until next year!

I loved watching the show. I especially enjoyed the Tibetan Drums performance, and the Yellow Blossoms dance. It's been a few years since I've been able to attend, but it was just as amazing as the first.

This was my third time seeing Shen Yun, and it will not be my last. I brought my fiance with me to see it, and it was his first time. I was so excited to share this powerful and beautiful performance with him, and as always I was blown away. Everything is so flawlessly done, and the entire ensemble is just stunning. I love how it combines so much culture over so many years into a comprehensive performance, and I'm so grateful that you take the time to explain it to the audience, too. I'm also always so happy when I see that the Erhu will be one of the solo pieces as part of the performance, as it is my favorite classically stringed instrument. Looking forward to the next time Shen Yun will be performing in my area, I am drawn to seeing the performance year after year. I'm always just as excited, and just as blown away every time.

I watched a performance on the 26th of April, 2017 in Salt Lake City with my mother and my aunt, and it was the first time for all three of us. A man I know wanted to see the performance in Detroit, and hopes to get another chance again. My favorite following dance numbers are "Red Cliff", "Super Monk" (funniest dance story ever!), "A Passage in Time", "Yellow Blossoms", "Lotus Fairies", "Mongolian Bowls" and "Umbrellas" (moon fairies dancing with umbrellas). The song "The Divine Path is Near" brought me to tears! Speaking of song, what resources are recommended if one wants to sing bel canto? Just watched Shen Yun this afternoon (April 21, 2017) in McAllen, Texas with my grandmother, who is Vietnamese with some Chinese ancestry. It was such a beautiful show and I am so glad we were able to attend. Congratulations to all of those involved in making Shen Yun a success and thank you for preserving our Asian heritage! I took my mom to Shen Yun here in San Antonio for Easter. It was the first time for both of us. We both enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be coming to see it again next year, hopefully with box seats instead of balcony. Great job to all of the performers. Makes me want to pick up my trombone again.

My family and I just experienced Shen Yun tonight and had the best time of our lives. The graceful movements of the dancers, the choreography, the story telling, the awesome backdrops, and colorful attire is just breathtaking. We're already looking forward to next year's Shen Yun!

My cousin & I both attended for the first time in Feb 2017. Oh my goodness, the moment the 1st curtain rose, the whole audience sighed and caught our breath in unison. It was truly a magical, one-of-a-kind experience! The dancing was mesmerizing, costumes gorgeous and wonderful stories. Plus, the very innovative and interactive backdrop - We are still trying to figure out how they did it and so precisely timed!! I have been telling everyone about it, even though the uniqueness makes it hard to describe! You won't believe it, Go see it for yourself! We do plan to attend again in the future!

Shen Yun — divine beings dancing. No words shall suffice to adequately describe this dance show. A mix of vibrant colours, incredible movement and powerful music from a live orchestra, which uses a mix of traditional Western and Chinese instruments. The show in unequalled to anything I have ever seen. If you have the opportunity to attend do so.

I took my wife Sue to see this and we loved it. Shen Yun is spectacular and sublime. It uses a large rear projected screen to create the sets and incorporates moving images from the screen that fly towards the stage and land as the actors rise from the where the images have landed to give the impression that the projected images are manifesting on stage. Add to that the colourful costumes and the beautiful dancing - with a fantastic orchestra of traditional Chinese and classical European instruments creating a soundscape while telling stories from China's past (Historical stories and mythical stories) and from China's present. The show is brilliant and it is political and anti-oppressive. A good part of the narrative is to do with the Chinese Government's oppression of the Falun Gong/Falun Dafa movement. Of which the Shen Yun founders were members. This movement is based on balancing the being through physical movement and from there emerges a virtuous disposition based on Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. It is a movement that brings together China's ancient cultural traditions (particularly Toaism and Buddhism) to crystallize a simple practise to make lives better. This movement naturally grew and flourished in it's homeland - but got so massive (because it was good and it worked) that the Chinese Communist party attacked and oppressed this culture practised by a massive community of around 70 million people. So the subtext of Shen Yun touches greatly on these experiences and ultimately tells the story of human spirit struggling and rising against powerful and oppressive conditions. In many ways, to greater and lesser degrees, this story is every person's story as we stuggle and find ourselves and evolve in life. Shen Yun is a must see event.

First time Ann and I saw Shen Yun. Beautiful and amazing color, costumes and classical Chinese dance performance. Incredible digital backgrounds and interaction with performers. It's my first experience to watch Shen Yun on February 22, 2017 in Taoyuan - Taiwan. I felt really blessed to be in front of the stage where beautiful pieces of dances, deep-meaningful songs and great music were performed before my eyes. I keep my deep impressions on whatever presented that evening. This valuable experience encourages me and grants me a much better look on human life and existence. Now I realize that Chinese classical culture is so rich and precious that everyone needs to know. Shen Yun is worth watching by every body. And miraculously now I become enthusiastic to spread the beauty of the magnificent performances of Shen Yun. On my way to waterbury ct to see the show for the 1st time. I read up on the history behhind the show and i am excited for a chance to witness it for myself.

Just left the theater a few hours ago, and I must say it is breath taking. The costumes, dancing, and digital effects were superb. The show left me awestruck, and I am still swooning over it hours later!

A truly fabulous feast for the eyes and the soul. Loved the fun technology in the back scenery; favorite acts were the Tibetan drums, the Mongolian dance (with the dishes!), and the yellow flowers - but really, the entire show was awesome! Beautiful. Breathtaking. Gorgeous dancing. Loved the incorporation of the various regional cultures.

i saw it mar 4 2017 in Boston Mass, it was my first time ever to this kind of show. the colors are BREATH-taking, the dancers are amazing, i have always been intrigued by asian culture. i cannot stop talking about it to my friends. every word is is simply amazing, something i had to see at least once in my life. from the moment the curtain goes up im in aww of everyones costumes, the digital background designs are stunningly beautiful, and when the first performer came out from under the stage i was like OMG. WOW, DID YOU SEE THE IMPECABLE TIMING BETWEEN PERFORMER AND SCREEN? BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! IF ALL PERFORMANCES ARE DIFF. EVERY YR. IM ALREADY PLANNING ON 2018.

I have been wanting to see this show for 3 years and finally made it! I felt as if I was transported to another dimension. Each and every movement seemed to be choreographed to elicit an emotion, and Tian Ge stole the entire show. I would pay to see him in concert. The best 2+ hours I've spent in quite a while. I just saw Shen Yun in Philly last night (Feb. 19, 2017). All I can say is, "WOW." The performance was so beautiful and enjoyable to watch. The costumes were so colorful and pretty. I couldn't get over how precise and in sync all of the dancers were. The parts with the video screen were so perfectly timed by the dancers too. This was my first time seeing this, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Outstanding! If you have not seen Shen Yun, then you must. You will love every minute of it. It combines Chinese culture, history, dance and music into one powerful punch. The costumes are bright and beautiful as are the graceful dancers. The music and scenery is paired with outstanding digital backdrops, and incredible acrobatic performances. It is an amazing experience you do not want to miss out on.

The performance was truly amazing. The introduction of the performers through the digital media was unique. The colors of the costumes were very dynamic. I enjoyed the cultural experience of a lifetime. The huge jumps of the performers were effortless and then landing with not even a whisper, so extremely well executed. The music was very captivating that I found myself being transformed to the various cultures. I will never forget this performance with amazingly talented individuals. There are not enough words to explain this remarkable evening, other than to say I wish the performance had lasted longer.

I am so blessed. My son bought me the ticket for February 14th in Appleton Wisconsin. I have not even seen the show yet, just tiny little Snippets, the beauty of which brings tears to my eyes. This was my first time seeing the Classical Chinese Dance performance. It is nothing if not totally remarkable. The grace of the dancers, the uniformity of movement, so seamless and effortless shows the skill involved and the discipline necessary to be in tune with mind and body. All of that is an artistic feast for the senses. The rich colors, the symmetry , balance make a statement that this is an experience not to be missed. I was honored to be present and thank you.

Everything I had hoped - and much more. I'm a second generation American originating from Korea, and although it isn't my direct lineage - learning of the robust and inspiring cultures of China over the centuries was an experience I will carry with me for a lifetime. I felt so connected to the stories, and you could sense the spirit on stage with the performers. They emulated the culture and story of China's once captivating and uplifting lifestyle of which I never knew to be so wonderful. It also brought to light the darkness that has fallen upon this culture under the Communist Party of China. The soprano singers captivated my heart, and made me feel so deeply for their words. I look to encourage all of my peers to attend and witness such an enriching, educational, and emotional performance. Congratulations to the entire team of Shen Yun for enduring all hardships they have faced along this ten year journey. My utmost spirit is with you in continuation of this enchanting production!

I had the privilege of seeing Shen Yun last night. I was particularly moved by the Falon Dafa pieces. While hard to watch, they were beautiful in portraying kindness and compassion and indeed, the opposites of those qualities. It is my hope that as people experience Shen Yun they will take away a moment of wonder about Falon Dafa, and discover some further humanity. The costuming was incredible, the dances were mesmerizing, the music was amazing and the experience was genuinely one of a kind.

Saw Shen Yun last weekend! I came away most impressed with the dancing and music! The background used was astonishing! I enjoyed it very much and would recommend to all family and friends!

After watching featured videos I expected more acrobatic dances than it was - disappointing part. The orchestra and music were phenomenal. Also I found unusual impressive connection between screen and stage.

I saw the first show in San Diego and it was very good. I understand that people want the best for themselves and don't need others trying to control their lives so once again as I sit and watch those who work so hard to perform and express their belief I let go of any prejudice or criticizing spirits that interfere with understanding and see it from where the performers stand. It's easy for me to surrender to the splendor of the beauty and choreography that is presented in a way that takes the mind and heart back in time with stories and legends. Liberty is free from oppression and the truth makes us free. The performers were excellent and the ladies were talented, adorned with beautiful apparel and had a smile that could light up any cloudy day. This world needs to get a little wiser, there are enough destroyers and criticizers. I congratulate everyone for their effort and I'm looking forward to the 2018 Shen Yun show in Escondido Ca.

I have come to learn that "Shen Yun" refers to the Divine beauty within every individual—the subtleties of one's every movement—the expressions of one's body language...and the True beauty of every soul. According to Taoist and Buddhist philosophy we are all One. We are all from the Divine. In my opinion Shen Yun is the celebration and creative expression of God's creation (including us). Watching the performance was absolutely mesmerizing for me. The sets, the costumes, the amazing dancers....so much grace and beauty in every movement! I was appalled and shocked to hear that this show can’t be seen in China under the Communist Party regime. I cannot understand WHY they see traditional culture as a threat to its power. Even more disturbing is that this has been going on for decades. The government has tried to destroy culture and does not tolerate any form of human expression including music, art, dance and religious practice. This is very upsetting for me as art and human expression is what makes us unique...these are gifts and qualities from God that ought to be respected and highly regarded. Why should this be repressed? In my opinion this is simply criminal and morally wrong. We must all take it upon ourselves to raise awareness of the oppression suffered by our brothers and sisters around the world. I know I will. Keep up the great work Shen Yun Performing Arts. I admire and respect all the hard work, passion and dedication you have put into manifesting this theatrical production. Lots of love and best wishes for continued success! This spectacular show is a must see. I think if the show had ended with a final dance number, it would have been even better.

Dancers were amazing as well as the costumes. However the choreography was excellent, one of the best I've seen. The women danced barefoot in every scene except the one with the dishes on their head. Were the shoes helping them to maintain balance?

When I see how devoted are they artists ; I am proud to be an human being. Keep up the good work .

Shen Yun is beautiful!!!! Wonderful portrayal of dancing art, and storytelling, my husband and I enjoyed the performance. I cannot say the Claremont Venue was the best place to go to see it, as the seating was not what we expected for the price. It was cramped, old seating and did not allow viewing at the best advantage. Venue was Disappointing. Hope things have improved.

I've gone to see ShenYun every year for the past six years and I am never disappointed. The show get better each year. I love the vibrant colors of dress, I love the dynamic music with it's deep sound of traditional Chinese instruments. The dancers, I can tell, put so much heart in their craft and I'm so glad that we can see thousands of years of culture in one place. I bring a friend every year and they always fall in love with the show.

One of the few remaining performances that can be considered wholesome. A refreshing change from Western debauchery.

i don't know how i could sit through seeing gorgeous woman float through the air with elegance and grace, sheer torture. all kidding aside, it was one of the greatest shows i have ever seen, my heart soared watching and listening to such a wonderful performance and i will return to lincoln center every year and see again and again.

After only 10 minutes of watching this performance I found myself enthralled in this wonderful illustration of how it used to be when the Chinese people were free until oppression started to raise it's ugly head. This was a wonderful illustration with a majestic backdrop not to mention how the ladies were radiant in their colorful attire. I enjoyed the way they were able to articulate the performance of Shen Yun and I plan on purchasing another ticket in 2017.

This show was incredibly mesmerizing, divinely enchanting and full of color, spirit, grace and magnificent dance. I was completely captivated the whole time. I saw the Shen Yun at the Kennedy Center last year. I love it a lot to where I can't wait tell next year until it comes out again. It is one of the best shows ever.

I first saw a Shen Yun performance a few years ago in San Francisco. I loved it then and was pleased when it was scheduled in my city in 2015. I bought tickets a couple of months in advance and there was such a response to ticket sales that another day was added to our city's schedule. I invited two friends who had never been. The performance was so stunning and beautiful. There were so many improvements since the last performance I attended. Set designs and costuming was beautiful then but have been improved upon. It was an entirely new production with all the elements and beauty that I so loved in the first. My friends were in awe. I love that the format is unchanged. It is so unique. Dancers were amazing. I can't wait to see what comes next. Don't stop performing. It is so important culturally and politically.

I purchased tickets to the show for my Mothers 84th birthday, she had never been to a show at a arts theater, my 20 yr old Daughter also attended. I have seen the show advertised for a couple of years and posters at our favorite Chinese Restaurant but had never been. We went to the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, FL. What a beautiful theater. The show was fantastic, the dancing was amazing and the colorful costumes, and of course the gracefulness of all the cast and orchestra. A truly unforgettable experience.

I was able to get tickets to both of today performances in Melbourne, Australia. I enjoyed both shows very much the dancers were just amazing. I think they were all so brilliant, the Orchestra were so wonderful to listen to. Relaxing and gentle to cheeky and loud depending on what was required. I really enjoyed listening to the amazing Pipa player what a star she is. This is the second year in a row I have been lucky to see there show. the costumes are so beautiful and bright. The stories are easy to understand and the visual effects well balanced. and there is a great sense of fun and humor throughtout the show. excellent work by the whole cast and crew.

I’ll admit that I was hesitant when my wife voiced interest in seeing Shen-Yun. That hesitation was dismissed when we saw and experienced the show at the Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, IL. In addition to the great Venue, the show was a beautifully choreographed piece of art. The hosts stated that shows of this nature would not be allowed today in China – how unfortunate that such beauty and the telling of documented events that took place and were a part of history would be banned. It was also stated that each year brings a different variation of the show. I’m looking forward to next year!

Saw Shen Yun for the first time today. Tremendous to see that the beautiful traditions are kept alive with discipline, passion, and heart. The blend of the thoroughly traditional with some modern dance pieces was well-balanced and performed. The in-between narration by the male and female MCs was very helpful in setting context so that we were able to appreciate the pieces in a layered way. My first such experience, most definitely not my last. I'm also grateful as this was a Valentine's Day gift to my partner and she loved it! Compliments due to all the performers and the orchestra. Superb to see such a civilizing effort in a world that seems to thrive on barbarism - your message of hope was doubly important. My deepest congratulations.

We loved Shen Yun! The costumes, the music, the choreography, and especially the dancers...everything was magnificent and unlike anything we'd ever seen before. The stories they were telling and the joy they were telling them with pulled us in and kept us spellbound from start to finish.

The music and costumes were divine. I felt as if I had stepped inside a dream and was transported to another world. My girlfriend & I loved it! I never get to see performances like that at a venue like Lincoln Center. It was a real treat for us both. The entire performance was great but my favorite was the male singer with the message / lyrics written on the screen. What a show!

It was an experience that I shall never forget and we found it enlightening to learn so much about Chinese tradition and history. The pageantry of the performances was awe-inspiring and beautiful, awash in beautiful saturated color which was very uplifting to see here in New York, especially during the dark and grey climate outdoors that day.

My wife and I have gone to see Shen Yun every year, for the last 5 years as part of our wedding anniversary in Columbus OH. We love the story telling, the interaction between the hosts and the incredible acrobatics performed by the dancers. The colors of the costumes and the digital backdrops are incredibly beautiful. It has been a joy attending the show but also a disappointment in that Shen Yun does not appear to be coming to our city this year. We wish the show extreme success and pray that it will return to Columbus next year!

After having seen such groups as N.Y.C. Ballet, and other top-notch quality artists, I can truly say that Shen Yun is as great as any I have ever seen. The three parts of the show including the orchestra and the giant screen are together a force against which there will be no hiding the power of the statement on religious and artistic freedom so clearly acted out here. I was lucky enough to have sat next to the horn section of this great group of musicians and being a former orchestra member myself, can truly say this is a first class act. The costumes are works of art and the skill of the dancers and acrobats will put a smile on the face of even the harshest critic. A family entertainment special event that will be remembered until next years' show.

I have not and I am so excited to see this performance soon. You guys are in Knoxville, TN tonight and tomorrow.......only two hours from me. Everyone has said it surpasses all shows. I can't wait to see it.

I remember my parents taking me to your show years ago, when I was still a little girl. I was so entranced by the music and dances, although I may not have understood and appreciated all of it. As time went on I began to wonder what the show was called, and if it would ever come back to my city, not knowing about the tours and such. Been to the performances and the orchestra concerts since 2008 and 2012 respectively. amazing choreography, colorful costumes, really brings the audience back to Ancient China. The divine path really moved me and made me think a lot about my life as a teenager and about my future. As an instrumentalist, the music of Shen Yun is absolutely amazing and touching, i cried listening to Sorrow Melts Away played by the erhus during last year's Orchestra concert.

I've seen your show several times when in Columbus Ohio. In 2014, I bought a front row ticket for my friends daughterKamola. She is from Uzbekistan. She doesn't speak very much english. She was badly burned when she was 12. When she was 13 her family sold everything they had to bring her to the united states for surgery. They have lived here for several years. She has never been apart from her family since they moved here. The ticket was a birthday gift, but her surgery was changed to the day of the show, and she was unable to attend. Last fall, i bought 3 more front row tickets. I bought plane tickets and a hotel room, and i brought my friend Sherry down from Chicago. Sherry works with children. The night of the show, her mom and dad were afraid, because she had never been out without them. I had a friend conference call, and assured them, she would be very safe. We all went to dinner, then downtown. She was so happy, and It was the best birthday gift ever. I hope to bring her and Sherry again to the next show. Yes I have. In Cleveland State theater February and it was the most beautiful show that I have ever seen in my life and my lady friend just couldn't get over how the perfect timing of the performance with the video shown in the background and the those on stage was just fabulous.

The ride was smooth and I felt as if the dancers were in the next passenger seat holding my hands, keeping me safe and keeping my excitement in check. Especially when we hit a sharp bend and over the mountain below the clouds great Buhdda was all the while smiling and laughing also enjoying the Ride!!!!

The show was really phenomenal. Everyone should see it at least once, because of its overall beauty, perfection of each individual's movements, complete synchronicity of the group, and technological level. To combine live dancers with action on the large screen behind them was something I had never seen. Our group were all amazed and impressed. We did not entirely understand the "divine path" being promoted, but appreciate that the spiritual virtues of compassion, truth and tolerance are being held up.

This is my first time seeing such a wonderful performance! The choreography, the vibrant costumes, the audience interaction and use of 3-D technology were all breathtaking! They definitely have a supporter in me! The only thing I would've liked for them to include would be either pictures or autographs with the some of the principal dancers.

Even my 12 and 14 year-old video-game-lover boys loved it. Enough said.

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful that pretty much sums it up. If - and that's a big if - I would have preferred more authentic Chinese music. I love the pippa (sp) and it's magical sound. The costumes and dance were fantastic as were the stories behind the dance. All in all as a former musician I loved it and want to see it again and again.

Die beiden Gesangsstücke waren leider vom Tontechniker schrecklich übersteuert…..zu laut…..und so kam der Inhalt der so wundervollen Worte, der inhaltlich so schönen Texte, zu hart an. Das Musikstück der Ehru……ein Seelenschmaus der Sonderklasse. Also hiermit nochmals ein HERZERFÜLLTES DANKE an alle Beteiligten, dass ich so etwas wundervolles erleben durfte. Saw the performance with our 5 yr old son who was hanging on every note & the display & screen he very much enjoyed that magical element & was so happy to have been able to see the dances, which he immediately upon exit began imitating. I'd like everything in Shen Yun performances. Perfect intergration of animated backdrop, dances and orchestra is so amazing. Very touching story-telling dances move my heart. Beautiful costumes were further enhanced by incredible visual art background. Superb ! Come and see it yourself.

My experience was breath taking. I had seen an advertisement in Chicago a year before and when they came to Minnesota, I was thrilled to be able to go see the performance. It was my daughters’ first experience at the theater and one she will never forget; nor will I.

I have already seen the Shen Yun performance twice: once in Fort-Lauderdale, FL (2013) - where we discovered it - and once in Montreal, QC (2014). Amazing, totally worth the money. I'm going to go see it next year for sure! The dancing and music was amazing, and they don't mention anywhere quite how funny it is too! The orchestra is excellent and the variety of dances and opera like singing are great. The only problem is it seemed to fast.

Shen Yun is one of the most beautiful, intricate art forms I have ever experienced. My nine tear old granddaughter was transfixed and did not want yo leave the theater. We had an interview with Chinese radio and had our picture taken with the dancers, something they hardly ever do. We will surely return next year for another wonderful trip through Chinese Culture!

I'm an usher at the Merriam Theater and was fortunate enough to see the show 4 times! I was absolutely enthralled, engrossed, mesmerized and captivated by the skill and grace of the performers, beauty of the music, messages of the stories told in dance and authenticity of the costumes and culture. It was absolutely breath-taking and I only wish I was able to tell each dancer, musician and choreographer how beautifully they did. Best show ever! Can't wait to see what's next!

I was inspired, educated and in awe. The choreography was flawless and graceful. Never in all my life have I seen history choreograph so pure and exact. Nothing can ever be compared to it. I am grateful and humbled with a greater respect for the history. I wish all could experience the "Divine" Heavenly Dancers. Looking forward to seeing Shen Yun in 2015.

Great show, awesome to watch. Although I enjoyed it, I do not like the fact that they make China look bad with some of the things they say, but at the same time showing how amazing China's history is.

I took my 8yr old son Damien at his request. He had seen the commercials since Nov 2012 and begged me to go but it wasnt a good time for us. I am so glad I was able to take him this time. The show was magnificent. Damien was awestruck the entire time. As soon as it was over he wanted to know when we could come back. The drummers were beyond amazing. Cannot wait to go again and this time take Damien's twin sister with us!

It was a breathtaking experience to see Shen Yun's performance at the Overture Center. It was an explosion of beautiful colors and stunning visuals on the stage. So organized, artistic and it all blends so beautifully with the divine music in the background. The thing that stood out for me was the amazing fusion of chinese classical music with the western music by the orchestra. The erhu and piano instrumental performed on the stage was just a music lover's dream come true. A must watch for all the art lovers !!

Very nice well done show for the most part,but a little too repetitious. Many dances seem to be using too many of the same steps & routines. I liked the background effects. Towards the last I felt as if I was seeing a demonstration of how many ways one can twirl a scarf. Yes I still did enjoy the show.

The tickets are best buy of the year, we both enjoyed it very much. A colorful, well choreographed spectacle, fantastic! You all have won fans, surely we will tell our experience further.

Getting tickets for Shen Yun 2014 was the best purchase decision I ever made. Before Shen Yun I knew Chinese culture only from film and music. I love the films from Zhang Yimou and the music from Jolin Tsai. But when I had the chance to see the Shen Yun Show at the Frankfurter Jahrhunderthalle with my wife, it exceeded all my expectations. The dancers were incredible; it must take years of training to perform like this way. I was particularly impressed by the interaction of the dancers with the backdrop, which often featured a real film. I also liked the moderation in two languages for every piece, which added a unique experience to the performance.I was also happy to have been interviewed by NTDTV during the intermission. Thanks to Shen Yun we may see that China will very soon enter into a glorious epoch as seen the last time in the Tang dynasty. I am looking forward to the Shen Yun tour in 2015.

Auch die zweisprachige Moderation der jeweils gezeigten Darbietungen hat mich sehr begeistert und hat der Aufführung einen echten Erlebnischarakter verpasst. Sehr gefreut habe ich mich auch darüber, in der Halbzeitpause von NTD-TV interviewt geworden zu sein. Die Idee, dass China schon sehr bald eine neue glorreiche Epoche wie zuletzt in der Tan-Dynastie erleben wird, ist nicht zuletzt dank Shen Yun schon sehr bald zu erwarten. This is my best experience of watching a show. I got a lot of inspirations which can be applied in my work & in my life. Extraordinary historical sweep, brilliant costume design, fabulous artistic expression by superbly athletic dancers. As a traveler through China, the show brought back the history, energy and dynamic drama that defines China as a patron of the arts. Brilliant rendition on stage that I will cherish forever. Overall, I enjoyed the performance. The combination of music, story, and dance made for a very unique experience. However, I did notice a few things in the performance that were a little unusual. In particular, I noticed that many of the backdrops featured buildings of a distinctive Japanese style. Many of these buildings had Karahafu, thatch or bark rather than tile roofs, purlins parallel to one another rather than the more typical radial purlins, and unfinished wooden exteriors. While some of these elements can be found in Chinese buildings, they do not represent the quintessential Chinese style and are more indicative of the Japanese style. During the performance, I was able to follow the backdrops through different time periods nonetheless, but I noted that many of the buildings have out of place elements. For example, even in the Han Dynasty, the roofing of a building as important as a palace would be composed of ceramic tiles, and the exterior decorated with various designs and patterns (usually in red and/or green); and the small and numerous dougong brackets featured on the buildings of the Tang palace did not become commonplace until the Ming and Qing Dynasties (the Tang palace would also have ceramic tile roofing and a painted exterior). The brackets featured on the main hall of the Buddhist temple in "Sweeping Out the Tyrant" were also of a very unusual design, and judging solely by their appearance, I doubt they would be able to support the roof of the building. Shen Yun is about "Reviving 5,000 years of civilization", and as a strong admirer of architecture I believe that Chinese architecture is an indispensable component of Chinese civilization; and that genuine Chinese architecture (rather than the all too common generic east-Asian architecture) is needed for the accurate and wholesome portrayal of Chinese culture. I also noticed that India, as portrayed in the performance "The Monkey King Thwarts the Evil Toad" seems to be represented by the Islamic Mughal period of Indian history. I thought this was a little silly, as "Journey to the West" (despite being written in its current form during the Ming Dynasty) concerns the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang's quest to acquire Buddhist scriptures - and at a time when Islam hardly existed as a religion. During the time of Xuanzang's pilgrimage (7th century) India would have been mostly Hindu, with a dwindling (though still significant) Buddhist presence. I would prefer that the scene where Xuanzang and Sun Wukong arrive in India feature more Buddhist and Hindu iconography, perhaps with more Dravidian style temples in the background and Gupta period clothing. I also noticed some minor discrepancies in the clothing styles, but I do not know enough about Chinese clothing myself to identify all the elements of a specific period's clothing style. Despite the minor inconsistencies I enjoyed the performance. I was particularly impressed by athleticism and vigor of the dancers. In "Ne Zha Churns the Sea", I recall picking up on a duilian which I had seen before called "空手夺枪" being incorporated into the performance. It was quite impressive. I am not sure whether the performer had trained in wushu, or if classical Chinese dance simply shares elements with modern wushu - either way I would love to see more performances like it.

Having never seen Shen Yun before, only looked at the website, I was not fully prepared for the exceptionally professional and breathtaking experience. I have never seen dancers be so graceful while maintaining near perfect unison. Each dance was entertaining. I was particularly taken with the two drum dances performed by the men and the lotus dance by the women, as well as the first soloist. I just wish I'd had the opportunity to see the traditional instruments played on stage - they sounded so lovely. Everything was perfection - from the clever backdrops to the costumes to the wonderful orchestra. You are welcome to use any and all of these comments. On a side note - the people manning the sales booth for Shen Yun items were not well informed about what they were selling. I asked for a music CD of music like what I had just experienced, and instead got an orchestral CD filled with operatic voices and chorus. It is not at all what I would have chosen.

I saw Shen Yun on March 1 and really enjoyed it. I was in the first row - any show of this magnitude deserved my full attention - and was spellbound from beginning to end. The dance principals/ensemble, musicians, singers, costumes/costume accessories (great color selections), music, choreography and the detailed digital backdrop projection were amazing. The way an animated character on the screen was seamlessly transformed into the performer on the stage was a technique I had not seen before. The two hosts were very enlightening - even humorous - taught the audience to say "I love Shen Yun" in Chinese... "Woe I Shun Yun" (pardon spelling). The audience recited it back - great moment. I appreciate the hard work put into making this a must-see performance.

My Wife and I had the most breathtaking experience at Shen Yun. The dancing, choreography , and reaction from the band, players was just mind numbing. I recommend that everyone who likes music and dance, should see this spectacular show. Can't wait until they return.

SIMPLY AMAZED! The price of the ticket was worth it just to hear the live orchestra and the operatic performances. The large screen, digitally/interactive with the actors is simply a phenomenon! The dancing: as we learned from the narrators, (speaking in Chinese and English), the most involved number of elements with ballet of any dance on earth, was awesome! The costumes were gorgeous! Precise, in synchrony, a wonderful experience! And even more important, we were reminded that this could not be experienced in China. That is horrific.

It was simply an amazing piece of art work. It made you laugh at times and cry at time. It was money well worth the time and vocational juggling it took to get there. Shen Yun translates to Shen (神) Yun (韻), which roughly translate to "The beauty of divine beings dancing". From the hunting highly emotional erhu, to the delicate form of the dances. This performance flowed to elevated heights of splendor. In learning about what that one solo instrument was, which was the Erhu, I spoke at length to one of the souvenir present, I learned with a great deal of empathy about the trials and tribulations of this amazing people. I have one thing to left to say: 我喜歡 神韻

I have not seen it live yet. I have only looked at the website and I am in love. I want to go so bad, but didn't want to go alone. Others I have spoken to are not interested in spending $100 for tickets, but I am more than reAdy to get the opportunity to witness the beauty and awesome athletic moves I've seen online. Absolutely amazing from the moment the curtain raised. The dance, the costumes, the storyline - they executed everything left me in "wow" and smiles. I was watching the previews on their website and was completely mesmerized by the beautiful dancing by the dancers. It was because of this divine performance that I decided to learn more about Chinese culture in high school. This performance group truly inspired me to learn more about traditional values and morals that make us better human beings. I am currently studying Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language for school, and I must say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel incredibly cultured and more aware about exotic cultures around the world. I now have a strong love for Chinese culture. My family and I loved the show. It had us on the edge of our seats. I wished it was an all night show because I wanted to see more. I loved the choreography and especially the costumes. This was the most amazing show I have ever seen! The colours and choreography - what can I say? There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the beauty. The 3-D effects were magical. I loved the songs the sopranos sang. The songs sent a clear message as to the oppression of ones religeous beleives. I have become a dedicated fan.

We saw tank-tops, Bermuda shorts, flip-flops, spaghetti-strap blouses, jeans, sneakers, boots, etc.... Perhaps some sort of "Dress Code Enforcement" at the entrance of every Shen Yun Theater would knock some sense to such careless, oblivious and ignorant individuals. About Shen Yun, HATS OFF !!! to all the World Class, Crème-de-la-Crème Artists/Musicians who perform with a true display of splendid and exceptional beauty of the Performing Arts... BRAVO SHEN YUN !!! We will most definitely see you next year dressed to the standards and upmost respect that each and everyone of you undoubtedly deserve!

From the first note, Shen Yun takes you on a magical journey. Not only are the dances beautiful, but the solo songs are equal in grandeur. I like how Shen Yun uses dance and song to not just educate China’s history but also their present day. I heard many children asking their parents questions about China after the show and I think it gives people the opportunity to explain what is happening in China today.

Wonderful beyond compare - I hope that it comes back

Shen Yun is even more fabulous the second year seeing the show. The effects of the dancers entering and exiting the stage via the scenes on the big screen is amazing. The acting in the dances is phenomenal. The colors are inviting to watch. The costumes and props are like none I have ever seen performed. The dancers are smooth and elegant with gorgeous flowing lines. The dances keep you on the edge of your seat awaiting the next story to be told. Again...Fabulous!

The performance was amazing. The costumes and dancing were beautiful. The balance and moves of the dancers were incredible. The female dancers balancing the bowls on their head while dancing without dropping them...wow.

I LOVED the performances, but got very tired of the man and woman coming out to speak before each and every one of them. It made the night seem very long. Maybe if they just came out before certain performances, it would be okay, but not all of them.

I totally enjoyed the show. The dancing was superb and especially the animated backdrop and right onto the stage. The music was great. My highlight of the evening was the song by Miss Rachael Bastick. Overall a superb performance and enjoyable evening.

Shen Yun is without a doubt the most unusual, amazing and inspiring performance I have ever seen. It is incredible on both a cultural and spiritual level and the performance is very much enhanced by not just the dancers and musicians, but by the beautifully done costumes and set designs. I saw the Saturday matinee in Denver and left enriched and rewarded by the experience of Shen Yun Performing Arts.

I got tickets to Shen Yun as a Birthday gift. When I went to see it on the 20th the music, dance, sounds, and colors blew me away. I was speechless and taken away buy its beauty.

My husband and I went to Fort Worth Bass Hall, tonight, and saw Shen Yun dance troupe. The color, the costumes, the visual rhythm in uniformity, the astounding movement in all three dimensions took our breath away. The diaphanous costumes were such that they became a part of the dance, some with extended length of arms, or skirts that became wings. I must say that the costumes were constructed with modesty in mind. Beneath the sheer fabric, the women wore full length pants, gathered at the ankle. The modesty was quite refreshing. The men lept and seemed to remain suspended in air before they silently alit on stage. The women floated across the stage with an unearthly rapid heel toe step that was so smooth, their heads and shoulders remained level to the floor. They could have been gliding on skates. We were close enough to see the beautiful faces of the performers. They were all so young and fit...and little!!! Terrific show!

We really enjoyed the performance. Our daughter Olivia (7) loved it. She was born Chu Le Qui in Guangdong province.

When I saw the "teaser" film clip on TV, I immediately went to the Shen Yun website to buy tickets. I drove from Kent Woodlands in Marin county to Sacramento where my wife and I saw the show and were enthralled with the presentation! Although the show was coming to San Francisco, I was going to be in Hawaii. Before leaving the Bay Area, I contacted Xiao who was working with the show to get contacts there in order to help with the promotion of the film during my spare time. A truly wonderful group of people who work very diligently to help with the ongoing success of this truly unique performance and story. For those who will be in Oahu, Hawaii May 3-5, 2013 be sure to see the show at the Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu. It was outstanding. My fiance was a ballet dancer and she was enthralled with the show. She said it is obvious that modern ballet, acrobatics and gymnastics are clearly borrowed from Chinese dancing. Only suggestion was the male presenter was a bit stilted. His female companion was excellent.

It was just so vibrant, so colorful, so beautiful! The music was also really good. There are a lot of messages in the show also. I'd love to see it again, with friends or family. Definitely worth every penny.

This was my second time at Shen Yun. I went last year, and loved it so much that I decided to take my mom for her birthday this year. This show was different, but just as magical as the last. It was filled with so much beauty in the song, dance and instruments... and brings attention to the peaceful practice of Falun Dafa. No other show that I've seen puts such a wide array of talent in the spotlight, and leaves the viewer completely exhilarated. I hope to come back again and again.

I must say, I recieved a birthday gift to go see Shen Yun today and I really enjoyed it and after, I was interviewed by Mandy. It was my first time and to see all the customes, techniqical props and how they performed and the perfect performances were spectacular! To learn some history on how they are not able to express themselves in China, but are able to express themselves in performing outside their country says alot. Their own country should see how other countries learn from their culture and history. I myself enjoy cultural influences and enjoy learning their history. I am a multicultural about, learning, respecting, and value of other countries and their people. I am hispanic, I am American, I know Spanish, English, French, Italian, Sign language and Chinese - Mandarin. I am a student at Azusa Pacific University and Citrus College. I have my degree in B.S. in Organizational Leadership. I am an Artist, I enjoy painting and watercolor-Chinese painting with Chinese Art Master whom is known all over the world, master Ali Tam.

The show was very beautiful, educational, and breath-taking. The dancers were phenomenal and the music was awesome. My only wish is that you sold a DVD and CD, as I would love to take this home and experience it over again with my family, as we are in love with Shen Yun. Can't wait to see you again in 2014.

It was a lovely experience and I am glad I brought my two Canadian friends with me to see the show and we all enjoyed the show. It's a feel good experience. We all love the colours, the grace and the movement. The acrobatic elements of classical chinese dance with modern ballet is devine. Peace to the world and freedom of speech!

This was my first time going to the show and loved it! The dancers, colors and interactions with the backdrops were amazing. The narrators were funny and well spoken and the orchestra and opera singers were soul touching. I would love to go back and share my experience with my kids.

The show was spectacular. We had seats in the lower orchestra section. I surprised my husband with tickets, for he has studied the Chinese Martial Arts since he was a teenager in New York City. He thoroughly enjoyed the show. I've been wanting to see it for the last few years and I am glad that we were able to see it. Please keep up the excellent work!.

My wife and I received orchestra tickets for the Dec 30th show as a Christmas present. I did not know anything about the show, assuming it was going to be similar to a Taiwanese circus I had seen in San Diego in the mid-70's. It was completely different. We enjoyed the show very much. Despite the exertions required of the performers, they all exhibited a calm that I found fascinating.

Absolutely loved today's afternoon performance in Sacramento. I was in China in April and this was a delightful high quality review. So glad I attended. Well worth the price of my orchestra first row seat! Loved seeing facial expression.

Watching this performance gives you the experience of being a deep tranquil meditation for 2 hours without having to put in any effort!

The performance was very well choreographed and I really enjoyed the colourfulness of the dancer's costumes, as well as the amazing backdrops. It sort of gives you a brief history lesson on old Chinese civilization and makes you really appreciate the art of classical song and dance. A must-see!

Cannot go to performance because of disability but would LOVE to by a DVD of a full performance

I brought my neice who was adopted from China at age 5. She is now 18 and was memorized with the performance. She is from Florida and I understand you have a performance there soon. Please let me kmow information so I can tell my brother & wife. She was here in NJ & NYC with me for a while and this was her favorite. Still talks about it. It was amazing. Your Rep is presenting a program to our Rotary on 9/6 and I was so happy to hear this. I will be a good spokes person.

I missed the show when it came close to my area, that's why I wish they would release a video/dvd of a Shen Yun performance so I could experience the great performances also. Nothing compares to the live show but it would be nice to watch it over & over again at home.

I saw Shen Yun every year in the past 4 or 5 years, in San Francisco. I chosed LA because I could not find the option of San Francisco in the drill down list. I love Shen Yun!!! It is the best show in the world! It is the most beautiful, most profound, most uplifting .... I'm running out of words in describing Shen Yun. And as a Chinese grew up in China, I say it is the most authentic Chinese culture show! We are lucky to have Shen Yun in San Francisco every year. And I've been eagerly waiting for the next show every year... Sigh... Shen Yun! You bring me to the most beautiful place that I wish I live there forever...

This was the most beautiful production I have ever seen! Having formerly studied dance, I have critiqued many local productions and no performance ensemble can compare! The music was heart stirring and thought provoking. The dancers were very agile, strong, graceful and coordinated. I have never seen so many dancers onstage, in perfect unison, with such great energy and craftsmanship, working together so beautifully. I would sometimes forget that I was even watching people dance and felt as though I was taken out of the human realm, watching beautiful formations and divine paradises. I thought Shen Yun was very impactful and inspiring, so much beauty in two hours! Everyone around me was affected positively by this production; we all arrived in a hurry to get parking and get situated in our seats and left feeling so tranquil, happy and light hearted. I have never seen so many people smile after leaving a production before. It was truly a beautiful production, a performance that is genuinely too special to pass up!

Re. Divine Performing Arts in Aarhus, Denmark. The show I liked the most was "Mongolian Hospitality" with women dancers holding dinner plates high in their hands and treating them loudly. It was so telling. This because a CEO of a world renowned company lives near my place. He is at the same time secretary of the Danish Mongolian Friendship Association. I was stuck on the highway for over an hour and almost didn't make the show. But once my children and I sat down it was worth the trip. The dancers worked seemlessly with the background. Both announcers entertained and informed. The costumes and props accented the hard work and dedication of everyone. Graceful! Amazing! Inspiring!

The performances were fantastic, costumes were vibrant and beautiful, and the interaction between the digitally projected dynamic backdrop and the dancers was so creative. A terrific night in NYC.

I was disappointed because: *I went to New York to see this - I live in Australia! *few of the performances looked like the program photos. * the physical mens dancing did not reflect the ads on TV. * although it was very pretty, I felt I missed something important because your expereinced troupes were away and your less expereinced dancers performed. It was very expensive and crowded, but I appreciated the opportunity to attend.

Wonderful. My six year old daughter from Hunan Province loved all 2.5 hours and I would love for her to be a Shen Yun dancer.

I had tears in my eyes most of the time and I have tears right now JUST thinking of it. The Mozart Requiem does the same to me. No other comment is necessary. Possibly, I can add, that I was not at successful in stopping the tears.

The music was beautiful and the costumes were breathtaking. I appreciated the explanations before each piece; they helped me enjoy the stories that much more. I found myself smiling after each piece and wishing for more.

It was breathtakingly beautiful! So happy we went. Can wait for you to come to San Antonio again!!

Sincere, Moving & Enlightening are the three words to describe the show. Masterfully choreographed, skilfully executed, divinely presented, Shen Yun is a show not to be missed. I saw the show in Sydney’s Capital Theatre, I would highly recommend to everyone. Shen Yun should definitely be in everyone’s bucket list. I am looking forward to next year’s show :-)

It was Divine Grace to be able to watch this spellboundingly beautiful dance, with the perfectly synchronized acrobatic movements, the colourful elegant costumes accompanied with amazing live orchestra music, it is once in a lifetime experience...a must watch.

Yesterday I went to see Shen Yun, and it just keeps getting better and better each time. I saw this exact same show in January with my husband and yesterday my family joined us to see the show. The orchestra was divine, the backdrop was breath-taking, and all the stories, dance and overall choreography was something that only one could dream of. Everyone should see this show not just for its beauty but also because of the GOOD MESSAGES that this informative show brings to its viewers. Viewers will not only be entertained but also informed. It's GREAT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!! I can't wait to see this show next year. There are different stories, dances, music, presentations every year. This show must not be missed. An uplifting experience! A gamut of emotions is evoked through sensitively wrought performances. With charm, grace, dignity and humor the singers and dancers draw us into their world. Spectacular backdrops complement gorgeous costumes. Stunning choreography in every dance sequence, each with its own unique movements. The plight of Falun Dafa followers is made clear in delicately rendered sequences that resonate more effectively than rhetoric. Superbly talented classical singers and a gifted pianist coalesce to take your breath away. Under the baton of a prodigiously talented female conductor, the orchestra gives you goosebumps. I loved every moment! Go!

Just want to let you know -- Some friends from Mongolia invited us to see the Shen Yun performance at the Kennedy Center on March 30. I knew nothing about Shen Yun, but enjoyed the concert very much. Great coordinated dancing, attractive performers, excellent music, good visuals. The music seemed authentically Chinese but evidently modified to please Western ears, as there were no eighth tones or jarring disharmonies. I am not all that interested in ballet generally, but this was fascinating. Very impressed with the athletic ability of the dancers, especially the men. Some people might be put off by the didactic elements of the show, but I was pleasantly surprised by it and totally support that aspect of the performance. There's nothing wrong with conveying a beautiful, honest message through a dazzling artistic performance.

I have already put my thoughts of the show on NTDTV when I was asked last night. This show is not going to mesmerise you for 3 hours but the after effect can be rest of your life. Never never to be missed. It is an unbelievable experience.

Amazing, amazing and fantastic show. I was very impressed by the grace, elegance, athleticism and synchronicity of the dancers. I was particularly impressed with some of the flips, as well as the way the performers seemed to leap out of the backdrop, and then later disappeared. The bright colours were beautiful. I also found the Journey to the West and the Buddhist monks doing the housework scenes very amusing.

I was not going to see this show having previously seen a production last year. Furthermore, tickets were expensive. I made an impulse purchase, 30 minutes before the show started... and it was on the final performance in Melbourne! All I can say is that I'm so happy I went with my impulse. Everything and everyone on stage from the costumes to the colours and lighting, and of course, ultimately, the performers - dancers, singers and musicians - gave such an overwhelming performance I could not help but shed a tear or two at the final curtain call. I am proud to be Chinese; I am proud of its culture and its rich history; I am proud and extremely grateful that there are so many talented and dedicated artists who are willing to work hard to preserve Chinese culture and history. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING AND UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE!!! I'll definitely come back to see it again next year!!!

The performances were spectacular! The performers, the costumes, the outstanding graphics and effects all came together to enlighten me to a history I knew little about before today. These performances are providing a modern means to pass down 5000 years of history to another generation through the use of universal artistic communication. Today was my 50th birthday and this performance contributed to making a wonderful memory for me and has touched me deeply! I only wish it could have gone on longer!

It's so beautiful and I think this show is really something heavenly. After watching the Shen Yun show, I feel like my heart is leaping and tears just kept falling from my eyes. I really don't know why but I could not stop crying until I came out of the theatre. I feel this show is really from Heaven. even when you see the dancer's faces, they look like angels.

Incredible program,Shen Yun is a unique performance. Beautiful Chinese cultural dance, opera, costumes, historical events,translation in Chinese/English languages ancient stories, special effects in background film and scenery, that I have never seen before.

Overall the show was okay. I loved the dance pieces and the pieces that had acrobats/martial art gestures, but I found the Soprano singing pieces very annoying. I did not mind the first singing piece, but the remaining three pieces, I felt as if it was a waste of time. I think the show without the singing pieces can be better. Instead, even a musical instruments piece shall be better as listening to a live Chinese orchestra is not often heard. The music was wonderful and I would have preferred more of that rather than the Soprano singers. What disappointed me was that no advertisements had any inclination about these singing pieces and yet the show had 4 singing pieces. As is, I will not recommend the show to anyone and definitely not worth the $95 I paid for.

Dear Eric Von Steiner, even though I am not involved in this Shen Yun show, I think i can tell you that the great erhu soloist Qi XiaoChun is touring Asia this year since she is grouped with Shen Yun's New York company. So you will get a chance to see her next year when the new York company tours Detroit area. .

Went to performance at Detroit Opera House on Fri. Jan 27,2012. It was great. Only disapointment was that the great Erhu solist Qi XiaoChun was not on the program. The pamphlet that advertised the show featured her. Will those of us in the Detroit area ever get to see her perform here? We are old and our only wish is to be able to see her before we die.

I saw the show in Belgium in 2010 and it was fanatstic! I hope Bulgaria & neighbours have the chance to watch it too. Good luck to the show all over the world! It's a delight!

Actually I have never watched it 'Live' because there is no way that they are going to perform here in my "country". But somehow, I just want to say that even though I am watching through the internet with just video clips of this performance, I totally was inspired by the essence of this dance. I wish that there would still be a show to happen for the next years to go by, so I can travel by my own to get to a location of this show.

I went with my two brothers and my mom for our first time to see Shen Yun, and the experience was truly amazing! Even my 11-year-old figety brother enjoyed it! Everything was planned out in extensive detail, the costumes and coreography were breathtaking. The entire time I felt like I had been swept away and taken off my seat. Loved the live music and opera singers. I'm definitely coming back again next year for sure!

I LOVED IT! This was my mum's sixteenth birthday present to me, everything was gorgeous; from the costumes, to the choreography, to the orchestra, even the opera! Just magnificent! I love Asian culture and this opened a new world for me. In school we are studying China; I have now new knowledge and will use it to my advantage! It was a great experience and I am definitely going to do it again!

I was amazed at the sychronized music and dance moves. Even in the moment that a piece of costume fell to the ground, it was retrieved gracefully and all flowed back into place, as it was before. We brought our little girl, age five to expeience your show and we got more then we expected. this show is amazing and worth the cost of tickets. Our daughter is adopted and part Chinese and we felt this was a wonderful culture experience for her. She was delighted and thrilled with your show. Thanks you for your dedication to your culture and dancing.

Greatly enjoyed the performance in Phoenix. Looked for but could not find DVD of of show in lobby. Would be an addition for enjoying Shen Yun again at home

What a fanstic performance, I danced ballet with a local company and the Nutcracker and La Fille Mal Garde with San Francisco ballet in the 70's,but the dancing,visuals and the orchestra, only thing i can say is WOW!!!!

This afternoons' performance at the ASU Gammage was spectaculor, a rare delight.

Saw Shen Yun today in Detroit, it was in awe. The costumes were fantastic, the dancing beyond my expectations. Brian, I too was wondering about the red symbol. Kevin, at first I thought the same thing but turns out they were sitting outside the door to the theater to be picked up, the ushers did not hand them out as I would have expected. An awesome experience overall.

Last night we attended the opening performance of Shen Yun at the ASU Gammage. The show was wonderful, and we enjoyed all of the performances, but we were very disappointed that we did not receive a program to the event. We had the most expensive level of seats available, but we did even receive one program between the two of us. It made the shows production seem to be second class if you do not have enough programs on opening night.

An enjoyable show with fantastic costumes and even better dancing. One question: In the modern pieces, did the symbol on the back of the persecuting authorities' costumes mean anything? It looked rather like the greek letter psi.

Never seen anything like this. The whole show was amazing from beginning to end. It was worth the money and the time. I love how there is humor in some of the stories. Thank you making my night spectacular.

I loved it. It was so beautiful and colorful. I will go again next year for sure.

Absolutely Fantastic!! The Show was breath taken, Our only regret was sitting in the front row left, we were on the percussion side,was alittle distracting, but I do have to say, the percussionist have a tough job and they do it well,, Performers were awesome,costumes were beautiful,, the opera singers were felt through my whole body, I have a new appreciation for the opera,after watching them sing,,, Thank you for a wonderful,unforgetful experience...

I was very moved by all the performances. The operatic singing was a wonderful surprise to me. I was amazed by the "snowflakes". I felt like I was in the most amazing dream.

It was fantastic. I love the colors and stories. And the most beautiful and uotstanding performer I enjoy watching was Ms. Angelia Wang. She really made a great impression,I could she her heart, was really set on the performance . I was in China just by looking at her. Pleace come back next year and bring Ms. Wang with the tour. It would be nice also to meet some of the performers after the show and may be take pictures with them or just congratulate them for doing so well. I absolutely loved the show! The Music and Dancing combined with the digital projection was amazing. The colors were vibrant and the props were very interesting. I would definitely recommend this show to everyone I know and I look forward to seeing them perform again!

The performance was truly unbelievable! The performers did such an amazing job, their hard work really inspired me. Everything was just soo beautiful. Everyone should see this because it's just too good to miss. I am a teenager and usually we don't appreciate a lot of things but after seeing this performance I want to be just like them. I can't wait to see another outstanding performance from you guys!

My favorite piece is In The Mountains. That one was really exceptional and outstanding collaborated with the music out of this world!

It was an unbelievable experience. The guy who danced in The Khata for the Gods was really unbelievable as I felt i was in Tibet dancing along.

Although there was a camera asking me to record my thoughts on the show, I declined because I was shy. However if you are debating whether or not to se this show, please take my comments into consideration.I have always been interested in the Chinese culture. My Aunt decided to surprise me with tickets to Shen Yun. This show was more than what I expected. Not only were the songs played by the orchestra captivating, but the costumes were extraordinary. The gracious synchronization between the choreography and the music took my breath away. This show is worth seeing multiple times. To be completely honest, I wish that every individual could see this show. It is truly an experience not to be missed.

I saw the extraordinary Shen Yun in Detroit at The Opera House last year, and can hardly wait to see it again. Truly amazing show! The choreography - the colors! All our friends and relatives have seen it and everyone loves it. Absolute perfection!

I saw this performance for the first time in Kitchener's Center of the Square. I thought that the Singing was splendid and it brought tears to my eyes. When I saw the choreography of all the dancers, [Wow!] I would come and see it again in a Heartbeat!!

I first watched the Shen Yun in Sydney February 2011. The first watch my body shuddered, feeling the energy, feeling deeply moved and very impressed Extra ordinary performance.

An incredibly rich and magnificent experience which restores the morality of our corrupted society. After watching this show, I felt that I was blessed because everyone on the stage were truly gods and angels. They truly were...

Wonderful show, loved the performances, the costumes, the color, the music, the digital backdrops, all of it. The erhu solo was positively divine and brought tears to our eyes! I would love to see the company do half the show to tell a singular story, especially a love story set against all that history. With all that talent it would be awesome.

I like the live orchestra which combines both western and Chinese instruments, I could only say that the music in shen yun led me to heaven, and those girl performers on stage just like fairies,and their costumes are gorgeous. It's absolutely a five star show. The dazzling colors remind us of spring, the dancings are exquisitely beautiful, the level of skills are first class. All in all, It was an extraordinary experience for us and the kids!

I just thought that the performance was brilliantly designed and I just feel like a better person, a better human being, because it speaks not only to my intellect but it speaks to my heart. I really liked the history part of the show, how it all comes together and it's been going on for centuries and it's still the same and still exciting and still very nice. The show gave me a familiar feeling of intimacy, which made me feel like I was back at home. I am just so lost in the beauty of it. This is very unique; it has its own style. I think it makes me appreciate the culture more and also the depth of the culture.

Like a Live Painting of the Divine Absolutely a stunning show! This is my third time watching this show in Hamilton Place theater, and my family will go back there again next year for Shen Yun! We always immerse ourselves in that beautiful colors, graceful music,and the lively backdrop. I like the messages behind the show. I always inspired by them which show me hopes for the beauty and the goodness in this world.

I still cannot forget the strikingly beautiful moments of Shen Yun. I enjoyed the music very much as they were very intricate YET phenomenally beautiful. I have never heard anything like that in my life. Nevertheless, the dances they performed were so majestically rich and uplifting. This production really deserves 5stars.

It was fantastic. Even though I am Chinese, I didn't know what Chinese culture was really about due to the communist government's education. But after watching Shen Yun, I learned how grand and beautiful our culture is. I now feel proud to be Chinese. This show is very precious! The Dec. 26, 2011, show in Waterbury, CT was my first (and not my last). Spectacular costumes, incredible dancers / athletes, and musicians -- all the makings of a top notch show! The entire show was phenomenal and very memorable. Thank you for pertuating the Chinese Culture all over the world! I'd strongly recommend this to all of my friends and family!!!

I love Shun Yun i'm 14 and i love this production as i have watched it since 2006 when it first came to Sydney and ever since i have been looking forward to the new year because of Shen Yun. :D

I was totally impressed by the brilliant performance. The beautiful music and dance, as well as the colorful costumes and backgrounds just perfectly all comes together - A Professional Production. I loved it.

My Chinese friend recommended this show to my family a few times, and finally we watched it at Lincoln Center this June. It surprised me the majority of the audience were not Chinese, but mostly Western. My family enjoyed the color, the costumes and the amazing techniques of the dancers. My little girl loved the pigsy dance! We didn't mind the message of the show, but rather felt thoughts-provoking. We will definitely watch again, and thanks for the wonderful show!
